Please note this is a private let, it is not a let via Kelling Heath Property Services.
This wonderful cabin is set at the end of a track; it is secluded and surrounded by woodland, foxgloves, rhododendrons, birdsong and nature, with muntjac often wandering past. The garden is fenced with plenty of parking outside the garden area. The village square, which is a 10-minute walk through the woods or a 15 minute walk along the main paths, offers a shop, pub/restaurant, seasonal pop-up food vans, take-away pizza shop, bicycle hire, ping pong tables and a laundry room. The site also has an indoor pool, a gym, sauna, steam room and an outdoor pool (usually May half term to September) - the outdoor pool requires pre-booking and the indoor facilities work to a maximum bather level (information below). The square hosts seasonal music and events as well as crafts and activities that are available to book.
The cabin offers immaculate accommodation as follows. Front door leads to an open plan fully fitted kitchen, dining area with seating for four; this leads to a good-sized living area with two large, comfortable sofas and with large picture windows directly overlooking woodland. The kitchen has a full-size fridge/freezer, gas oven and hob, built-in microwave, kettle and toaster. The reception area has an LG television and DVD player. Some plugs have USB sockets .
The cabin is equipped with an alarm. It also has a WIFI antenna that provides fast internet speeds, quite unusual for Kelling Heath.
The hall leads to a shower room with full-size shower cubicle, wash basin and toilet. There is a small twin bedroom (roll under bed if you only need one single, to have more room) with built in wardrobe; a master bedroom with king size bed (good mattress), wardrobe, storage and an ensuite toilet with a sink. Beds are made up with quality matching bedding which is included in the cost. PLEASE NOTE: You will need to bring your own swimming/beach towels. I provide bathroom towels, a bath mat, dish cloths and wiping up cloths. I also provide tea, coffee, sugar, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.
There are radiators in every room (gas fired), including the shower room, and there is an electric log effect electric fire in the living area. I have added electric rad's because it is easier to manage (i.e., gas bottles will not run out so quickly). Plenty of large, double-glazed windows fill the cabin with light, every one with woodland views. Each window has a curtain and voiles. The kitchen is properly equipped with quality items; the cabin is used by family, and I have tried to make it as efficient, comfortable and like a home-away-from home as I possibly can.
The fully fenced ‘wild garden’ exterior has a lovely iron 6-seater garden dining set with cushions and a parasol as well as a Cadac electric BBQ and a 2-ring hotplate. There are also two reclining chairs, for even more relaxation. A ping pong set is provided, two tennis rackets and a traditional set of French boules. We highly recommend you bring bicycles (if not, you can hire them), swimwear and walking boots. Plenty of parking space. Pets can accompany you only by prior arrangement with myself.
For indoor relaxation, there are some games, local information books and some DVD’s and, of course with WIFI, access to Netflix, Amazon Prime etc.
Please leave the cabin clean and tidy and ensure garden cushions and games are returned to the store box at the end of your stay and put all rubbish into the bins just up the road from the cabin. This ensures it is kept in the best condition for the benefit of all guests, thank you.
Note from Kelling Heath Leisure: Health & Fitness: day pass; adults £12.50, kids £6.50 (peak time prices); 3-day flexi-pass £23 and £12 (use any 3 days of your stay); 7-day pass £35 and £18 respectively (use on 7 consecutive days) - these are all peak time prices.
No timed restrictions/timed slots but the pool does reserve the right to refuse admission if it has reached its maximum bathing level. You buy passes on site.
