About the owner

My name is Fritha and I have just this year begun to manage renting out my caravan in Cornwall. So far it has been an amazing experience and I have been overwhelmed by the lovely reviews I have received from the guests that I have had so far. I have previously advertised and rented Ploedle Lodge via AirBnB and all of my reviews are available to see on that platform, should you wish to look. I am now hoping to reach more people via this site in the hope that my caravan will not sit empty throughout the winter months. Welcome to Ploedle Lodge, our quaint and cosy caravan situated on Highfield Holiday Park.

Our accommodation comprises of one large bedroom, shower room, kitchen, dining area and lounge equipped with a king-size sofa bed and outside private decking area with seating.

The space will comfortably accommodate 4 adults.

We also have pull out beds available for young children.

Situated in Bridgerule, we are a five minute drive to the stunning beaches and seaside town of Bude and a twenty minute drive to Launceston.

Set amoungst the charming hillsides of Cornwall we boast amazing views of idyllic countryside with the sea in the distance.

Whether you are looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of life, a family holiday or a romantic getaway, Ploedle Lodge is the perfect place to stay.

The best place that we have stayed for a relaxing few days.

A lovely short break with our teenage son and dog in the Oct half term holiday. The caravan was very comfy and location was perfect for exploring the coast line. The site is situated in beautiful countryside, the views from the caravan are breathtaking. The caravan had all that we needed for our short break, the only downside was that there are no gates on the decking so we had to go out with our dog to supervise, there are also friendly ducks that visit daily which again we had to supervise the dog with. We wouldn’t let that put us off going again though. The caravan has been tastefully modernised and feels more like a chalet, double bed was comfy and double sofa bed was fine for my very tall 16yr old son. Heating in the caravan also a bonus at this time of the year. The caravan has all basic things needed, no oven with a hob though, the halogen oven and microwave got us through though for warming and small snacks. There is a washing machine in the caravan which we didn’t need but handy incase of emergencies. All towels and bed linen are also provided, all clean and in good condition. The site is close to Bude (about 15mins in the car) and some wonderful dog friendly beeches. A visit to Padstow and Croyde is a must if you have never been that way, both accessible in the car (about an 1 hours drive) The nearest supermarket is Morrisons and there is also a B&M in Bude. We had a small issue on the last day with electric which was not the owners fault and was a site issue. The owner has communicated with me and I have been happy with the response regarding the issue. We have enjoyed our short break and would be happy to return again one day ????
