Hello & Welcome! You are probably reading this because your have just discovered Geufron Farm & are curious about who we are before you decide to book a stay at Y Caban at Geufron Farm. (Very smart by the way!) I’m over the moon that you are here & always delighted to share what its like owning, running & staying at Geufron Farm in beautiful Southern Snowdonia. And by me, I really mean us – Dean (my husband) & I, plus our two adventure pups, Bracken & Dottie! So, let me explain how Geufron Farm came to be… After well over 2 decades working in online financial services, the buzz of corporate life had finally worn thin for Dean and I. We knew we needed a new challenge. The idea for a place for those who love adventure & the outdoors to recharge from the stresses of everyday life was born on a day spent in the mountains. The search was on to find the perfect spot! In 2018 after much searching across Europe we stumbled upon Geufron Farm, in the south of the Snowdonia National Park. Despite its sorry state at the time, instantly it just felt right. We always knew we had A LOT of work to do to breathe new life into The Old Farmhouse & Barns. Little did we know driving towards Bryncrug on a dark evening in February 2020 as the new owners that just 5 weeks later the whole of the UK would go into lockdown & our dream of opening our 5 beautiful farm properties to guests would be halted. What a time to buy a hospitality business! We could have crumbled but instead, we upped the budget and ripped out & renovated even more than we had first planned. Our friends must have thought we were off our rocker, but we knew that this place deserved a really special overhaul. We finally opened to guests in July 2020 & when we read reviews & hear what an amazing, & much needed, holiday they have had, we know it was absolutely the right thing! There you have it. Y Caban is a lovely space to enjoy a family break, without breaking the bank. When we first moved to Geufron we didn’t know what to do with the 80’s caravan we inherited with the farm. We think you’ll agree that with a lot of love and attention its now a beautiful relaxing space for a small family.

Fully insulated, double glazed and heated, Y Caban is cool in summer and cozy in the winter months.

And with the quiet public footpath to Y Bryn restaurant, The Woodlands and Bryn Glas running along side, its the perfect spot for walkers.

We simply expect guests to behave like grown-ups:

Please don’t burn down the house. No candles or smoking/vaping any substances. BBQs must be safely raised from the ground so as not to damage the garden. If the weather is extremely dry is may be necessary to ask you not to have BBQs as a safety precaution.

We are on a septic tank so please only flush toilet tissue. There are wastebaskets around the property for everything else e.g. nappies, cotton wool, face wipes etc.

Please remove your personal belongings, food, rubbish & recycling from the property at the end of your stay. The main waste & recycling bins are located at the end of the driveway.

To keep our team safe & well please bag your used bedding & towels at the end of your stay. Bags are provided.

Please respect the privacy of other guests who may be holidaying at the farm at the same time as you.

No parties or additional guests.

It is not permitted to charge your electric vehicle at the property, even using a 'granny cable'. Our electrics just won't handle it. We'll be delighted to provide information for several charging stations within a few minutes drive of Geufron Farm.

Bringing your dog to stay? We welcome well behaved pooches.

Do bring your dog’s favourite bed or crate. In respect of all the guests who stay with us dogs are not permitted on furniture or beds.

Please keep your dog on a lead or line if they may wander out of your sight.

All four legged guests must be fully house & toilet trained. We love young puppies but unfortunately cannot welcome dogs still being house trained or using puppy pads etc

Please don't leave your dog unaccompanied in the property. We'd hate for your dog to miss out on any adventures so we provide lots of dog friendly places to go & to eat, in our guest guide.

Please do keep an eye on your dog, accompany them to toilet outside & clean up after them inside & out. Unfortunately not all owners are responsible and due to multiple incidents of gardens being left covered in dog poop we have been forced to implement a garden cleaning charge. Should it be necessary to clean up after your dog a charge of £50 will be deducted from your good housekeeping deposit. Dog poop bags and bins are provided around the farm so we hope you agree that there really is no excuse.

If other owners are using the dedicated dog field, please check you are both comfortable for your dogs to mix before entering & then introduce your dogs safely & calmly. ...Show less
