About the owner

Craig Tara is where we always went on our summer holidays when we were kids and so it holds a lot of memories for us as a family. We try to get there as often as we can and enjoy the park and its outer surroundings along the West Coast of Scotland. It’s a great base if you want to go exploring. It’s a great wee place to take the children, grandchildren or just have a nice break for the adults. There’s plenty to keep you busy on site with swimming, zip wire, archery , pedal carts and amusements to name but a few. There’s the beach for building sandcastles and paddling on the sunny days. You can also walk along the beach into Ayr when the tide is out, one of my favourite things to do. If history is your thing then there’s plenty of historical sites to visit close by; Robert Burns Cottage, Robert Burns Museum, Electric Brae and Culzean Castle are all definitely worth the visit. For the foodies, there’s lots of great restaurants; Brig o ‘Doon, The Balgarth Pines, The Fox & Willow, and The Tree House are some of our favourites. Whether you choose to stay in our caravan or not, we hope you have a wonderful stay at Craig Tara and enjoy your visit to the West Coast of Scotland.

There is a large veranda with a lockable gate overlooking a grassy area outside the caravan which is great for watching the children play.
Free Wi-Fi, 50” smart TV. Air Fryer, Hoover, Hairdryer, Iron & Ironing board. Second W.C. All bed linen is provided.
Tea, coffee, sugar, hot chocolate, salt and pepper provided. Hand soap & hand towels provided, Cleaning products, cloths and tea towels provided.
Board games & DVD’s . Welcome pack.

Description

This 3 bedroom caravan is ideally situated in Rory’s Village, a spacious quiet grassy area, close to all amenities and only a few minutes walk to the beach. With the added benefit of a large veranda with a lockable gate and garden sofas facing onto the grassy area where you can sit and watch the children play or relax in the evening with your G&T and watch the sun go down.

The bedrooms comprise of 1 double and two twin rooms with a pull out bed in the lounge area. All bed linen is provided and beds are made up prior to arrival.
A travel cot & bedding are available on request at no extra charge.
Shower room & two W.C’s Hand towels and hand wash are provided. You will need to bring your own towels for use in the caravan and for swimming.
The kitchen is equipped with all you need for your holiday and there’s a great view from the kitchen window, where you can watch the ferries heading to Arran whilst doing your washing up.

The Lounge area is equiped with a 50 inch smart TV and free Wi-if plus plenty of DVD’s and board games for those days when you just want to chill at the van.

Please don’t feed the seagulls.

You can hire the caravan with or without passes. If you want access to the clubs and the swimming pool then you will need passes which are available to buy direct from Haven. Once you have booked with us, you will be sent an e-mail from Haven which will enable you to buy passes and pre-book activities.

A £100 refundable deposit/security bond will secure your booking.
The full balance must be paid 4 weeks prior to your stay. If you are unable to meet this requirement, your booking will be cancelled and your deposit will be non-refundable.
We want to ensure that all of our guests enjoy their stay at the caravan and we aim to ensure that the caravan is clean & tidy for your arrival, we would appreciate your co-operation in leaving it clean and tidy on your departure. If there is any damage or additional cleaning costs, this will be deducted from your deposit accordingly.

Couldnt be happier with the break through from initial first contact to leaving earlier today. Also Host allowed us to book at short notice outwith the usual check in days for Haven (which could have been quite understandbly declined), which were were really happy about. Was also nice to be told about local attractions and help with purchasing passes for Haven Activities and Entertainment The Caravan is lovely, modern, comfy beds and the kids were delighted with the fast WiFi. The Airfryer was well used by us well! Caravan is located about 30 seconds from the main complex. The welcome pack was a nice touch as well. Would 100% return and wouldn't heistate to reccomend to anyone Thanks for having us! Scott

2 families of 4 for 10 nights at this caravan and it was amazing. The position of the Cavan was wonderful as you don’t look into another caravan but a little grassed area to look on to when sitting outdoors. It’s also well suited to people with walking difficulties as the main complex is 2 caravans away from it. The caravan is clean and modern. The owner is very nice, quick to answer questions and willing to help. Definitely be booking again.

The caravan is in a perfect position, very close to the amenities and just a short walk to the beach. Even though it was close to the entertainment area it was still quite quiet enough to sit outside in the evening if the weather allowed (apart from the noisy seagulls) The caravan was spotless and had everything you needed, proper sized cups and good quality dinner plates (you don't get this with haven). We also thought the welcome pack was a lovely touch, there was something for both the adults and the children. I would definitely recommend this caravan to friends and family .

Beautiful family caravan situated so close to the main complex for the children and my elderly parents. We received a lovely welcome gift on the table on our arrival and had all we needed in the caravan. From the veranda, the views of the water was a beautiful sight while enjoying our morning coffee. The owner went above and beyond for us when we had to add a last minute family member to our booking and she was very helpful. I would definitely come back to this caravan again and would highly recommend it to my friends.

This was a really lovely caravan well located near the main site amenities such as swimming and playground. The layout of the caravans in the area also meant there was a bit of an enclosed grassy area for my wee girl to play in right outside the caravan. The inside was well maintained, everything worked really well and was a cosy wee area to hang out in. The host was really responsive and left the lovely touch of a wee welcome pack although the chocolates only lasted the night. All in all a great place which my 6 yr old called 'amazingly good' and we agreed!

Excellent caravan!! We were delighted on arrival, the caravan was clean, fresh and cosy. Fully equipped kitchen and board games which were appreciated! We also had a veranda with lights which was lovely at night. Caravan was also close to all amenities with a 10 min walk to the beach, everyone had a great time!

This caravan is located in a prime location.The owners where helpful with all enquiries and couldn't do enough to help.T he caravan has everything you need for an enjoyable stay.Close to all amenities which is great for the children .I stayed Monday 10th April until Friday 14th 2023.The green out the front of the caravan for the children to play is a bonus.Five star from beginning to end will definitely book again for next year

Caravan was perfect, lovely interior with everything you could need for a weekend stay. Owners went above and beyond, leaving a bottle of wine for myself and some sweets for the kids. Huge tv & wifi available. Couldn’t have asked for a better location. 1 minute walk from shops/food stations. 5/5 would recommend.

Must admit I had my doubts booking outside haven but this experience has definitely changed my mind, the owners of the caravan could not be more accommodating and helpful, the caravan itself had top notch facilities with new and modern kitchen and toilet accessories a large smart tv and a great heating system higher recommend this caravan won’t get better off of haven.
