Glendale Holiday Park - Holiday Accommodation 17168

We stayed here from 17th - 20th July with our 2 year old daughter. We arrived at around 3pm on 17th. The caravan was very spacious and ideal for a few nights away. David had been in touch prior to arrival to let us know details and I had asked him a questioned that morning to which I got a speedy response. Unfortunately it was apparent the caravan had not been cleaned. All of the towels and bedlinen from the previous guests were in the shower tray which is where you were asked to put dirty linen etc before leaving. The sink wasn't very clean, the whole place needed a hoover, counters and table needed a wipe down and the main bed had no bedding on it and there wasn't any spare in the caravan. Having to give the caravan a once over really didn't bother me, as I have done this in the past however because there was no spare bedding, I didn't have much choice than to message David. He was extremely sorry about the situation but it wasn't his fault, he sent me a screenshot of a message saying the cleaning had been done so clearly there was a miscommunication somewhere. Anyway, after some exchanging of messages, he very kindly arranged for bedding to be delivered to the caravan and when we arrived back from eating out, it was there as promised. David had however promised a partial refund, I thought this was a kind gesture and when we left, I sent him my bank details as requested and was informed that the refund would be paid at the end of the month. I messaged him on the 4th to ask when to expect the refund but have had no response. I then messaged again today to ask if my last message was received and again, I have had no response. Disappointing really after such great communication and help with the issue on our first day and once that was rectified we had no more issues and had a lovely stay and my daughter loved the toys in the caravan. We were thinking of returning with my step son too but since we've had poor communication since leaving, I think we will go elsewhere or stay on the same park but in a different caravan. It's a beautiful location with a wee park for toddlers and a bigger park for kids. Didn't use the leisure facilities or the shop so can't comment but the shop looked like it had plenty in it. Good stay and great communication initially but poor since leaving unfortunately.
