I am very happy to be able to offer my caravan for hire. It is located at New Barns Caravan Park which is in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The caravan is just a few minutes walk from White Creek beach where I spent many a happy summer growing up.

This is not just your run-of-the-mill caravan park - it's much less commercialised than a lot of others and holds a more rustic charm - pretty wooded paths, fields stretching to the foot of Arnside Knott, and each pitch on the site is privately owned so each has it's own style and is more private.

The caravan itself is a 4 berth with two bedrooms, one double and one twin. It has a lovely large decking area outside (a real sun trap!) perfect for sipping wine (or if you're like me, a nice cup of tea!) as the day draws to a close.

The nearby village of Arnside is a short walk (or an even shorter drive) away and here you can find two good pubs, The Albion and Ye Olde Fighting Cocks, where you can get a good bar meal when you can't be bothered to cook. The Fighting Cocks sometimes has live music at the weekend and there are quiz nights at both pubs during the week. There are also several other pretty shops, bakery's and café's. Closer to the caravan is The Bob In which you will pass as you arrive. It serves delicious cakes, breakfasts and snacks and also has a fantastic children' adventure playground to keep the little ones out of mischief.

We allow one well behaved dog which must NOT be allowed to jump up on the sofas or on the bed and we respectfully ask you to clear away any dog mess. There is an additional £15.00 charge for dogs.

We ask for a £100.00 non-refundable deposit to secure the booking. This will be deductible from the final balance.

The full balance will be payable four weeks before arrival along with a £100 refundable security deposit which will be returned to you within one week provided there are no damages.

2017 Season

Our high season runs from Easter until then end of August. During this time the price is £275 per week. At other times, the price is £250. We will consider short breaks. Our weeks generally run from Saturday to Saturday.

This is a really lovely place for getting away from it all and we hope you will have a lovely holiday if you do decide to book.

Had a wonderful last minute weekend break. Tracy the owner of the caravan is more than helpful and accommodating. The booking experience was easy also. The caravan itself is fantastically equipped, clean, comfortable and best of all it is so peaceful! These is also a very good sized decking area/garden with comfy outdoor furniture, ideal for relaxing. The site is also brilliant and is ideal for us a young couple with dogs. This was our second stay at this caravan, and we are already planning our next trip. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

As a couple in our early-mid 40s I booked this as a last minute break the weekend before and I wasn't disappointed. Tracey was very helpful and communicative. Payment was very simple via bank transfer and afterwards the deposit was returned very quickly, again by bank transfer. The caravan is of an older type but what makes up for it is the comfort of the living area seating which is wider than usual static seating and so very comfortable and the extremely comfortable bed with good support. I was a little worried there was no microwave but after using the oven remembered how much nicer food is warmed through that way so would say thanks as I will continue do this at home! Everything you need is there and a beautiful decking area and comfortable seating outside. This is a beautiful site, the pictures here don't do it justice. We arrived after driving up after work so it was dark. I would recommend taking a torch if you will expect to arrive at night because there is no lighting on the site and as we were out of season there were no lights on in any caravans so it was pitch black. There is a torch available in the caravan. This is what I loved about the site there is a calm quietness. The caravans aren't all layed out in lines with concrete leading up to them. It's a beautiful wooded area with lovely hilly views and each caravan is individual with it's own personally created outdoor area. Expect to pull up and wait whilst pheasants potter around which you can just sit and watch. There are also quite a few kestrels in the area. The area of Arnside is a little gem. It is lovely and quiet with casual walks along the waterfront or inland. I loved our little break and came back so relaxed and will most certainly be coming back. Thanks again Tracey.

the van has had a makeover since my last visit and the photos show here... all very clean and comfortable and cosy. Older than some vans but very good value and lovely all the same. have been twice now and will go again hopefully. able to take my cat along which is great also. This site is a real one -off, being woodsy and private and also on the shore line. The van has great sitting out and views of the Knott, wonderful dawn chorus and bird watching, flat walking by shore and into Arnside from van which is great is you are, like me, past the hill climbs. Easy to book via site or direct with Tracey, who reminded me when balance was due. Wish I was still there... Many thanks Tracey
