The Hortons Hideaway is immaculate and the owner has literally thought of everything! So much thought has gone into the facilities within the accommodation, with excellent finishing touches. The decor is lovely and the place is so clean and well maintained The wifi was excellent, which was great for the two boys who wished to use their gaming consoles of an evening. . It’s honestly been an absolute pleasure staying and we will be returning. The beds are so comfy

I’m so very pleased that I booked this. We all had a great time. The caravan is outstanding! It is modern, comfortable and clean. The kitchen had all the appliances you could need. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathrooms were better than those in a lot of hotels. Both I and my adult children all agreed that we will return both together and individually. The site is charming and peaceful.

We have just got back from our short break at Horton’s Hideaway and wanted to say a huge’Thank You!’ To Tim and Portia the owners. Before we arrived I had to make a couple of changes which Tim was extremely helpful with. We have had the most amazing few days away in this beautiful lodge .it was so lovely and new with such fab furnishings , plenty of space for us and our two Cockapoos, great decking and views on a lovely peaceful site n a fab location . The owners have thought of everything that we could possibly need! We would definitely love to stay again and hope to book another short break soon .

We have stayed at Hortons Hideaway for the past three nights and are sad to be heading back to Edinburgh tomorrow morning. The caravan has been a little luxurious home from home for us and we’ve loved every second of our stay. It has everything you could possibly need from a high chair for wee ones, an iron and ironing board (I was delighted with this because I had forgot to bring our travel iron!) and even a washing machine and clothes airer which has been so handy because I’ve managed to wash our clothes tonight meaning no annoying post holiday washing when we get home! The layout of the caravan is spacious and so comfortable with a fab selection of games and books to keep everyone occupied. The couches are big and very easy to fall asleep on! The beds are perfect, we all slept amazing which makes all the difference. I loved that there were smart TV’s in both bedrooms as well as the livingroom which meant the kids could go and watch what they wanted at night freeing up the main TV for us! The decor of the caravan is just beautiful, honestly the nicest caravan I’ve ever stayed in. It’s so modern, and with it being brand new it was immaculate. The site that Hortons Hideaway is based on is lovely, it has a fantastic wee park for the kids as well as a swimming pool and shop. The location is perfect for families, there is SO much to see and do in the area. We ran out of days to do everything we wanted to (we will just have to come back and stay again!) We managed to squeeze in a day at Alton Towers, Gullivers Kingdom and Matlock Farm Park. Highly recommend them to all! You are not short of choice for places to eat either and I have to say we’ve not been disappointed by any meal we’ve had over the whole week between Ashbourne and Matlock. I honestly could not recommend Hortons Hideaway enough, we have all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Nice week away with my partner in this fully equipped caravan. It was tastefully furnished and felt very spacious. Beautiful walks right on our doorstep and the owners provided everything we needed for a relaxing break.

Lovely break in this beautiful caravan. As the first guests staying in this brand new van everything was immaculate. It is furnished to a very high standard and had everything we needed for an enjoyable break. The hosts were responsive and welcoming. Will definitely come again.
