Family With Older Children

Date of stay - 6 Sep 2021 - 13 Sep 2021

The lodge is situated in a quite lovely and peaceful location, plenty of grassed area for kids to play safely. The lodge itself is a really nice homely lodge that is suited to all types of groups especially those with young children. Could do with a little few tech items like WiFi and smart TVs but I suppose as it’s a private lodge then it all depends if the owner needs them themselves and the cost. Lovely big decked area outside along with nice spacious rooms inside which was all well presented. Cracking cooker by the way, which you don’t always get in lodges. We had an issue with park staff and I have made a complaint about to haven, this has nothing to do with the owner and her lodge, she did come to see us about the issue and must say was a very nice lady that was a pleasure to meet. Would recommended to anyone and we will use again. Steve

Thank you Stephen, I’ll take on board your point regarding the TV. Many thanks and thank you for your booking

Thank you Christine for letting us stay in your lovely caravan. The facilities, cleanliness and location we're all great. A home from home. The sandy beach by the caravan was beautiful and the water quite clear for swimming. We did most of our activities off site including Zip World, White Water Rafting, Copper mine visit and Snowdon climb. Would recommend this accommodation to anyone. Thank you.

Having had a previously booked caravan cancelled 3 days prior to our holiday we were left trying to find an alternative very quickly. Literally within hours of sending an enquiry through to Christine she had responded and given us a clear update on availability and price. Her customer service and correspondence throughout the whole stay was fantastic and she couldn't do enough to help and always responded very promptly. Onto the actual lodge itself.... I would have to say its probably the best holiday park accommodation we have ever stayed in. The furnishings in the lounge are like home from home, the kitchen facilities are the same with little touches like tea towels, washing up liquid and hand soap ect all left for you. The bedrooms are both fantastic and the beds were lovely, nothing like your standard caravan and the shower in the en-suite is amazing!!!!! There are lots of extra blankets should you need them however the heating is great which we had to use as it was early October. I had concerns over using the blow up bed in the lounge as we had to use it due to there being 5 of us, I have to say though it was great. Its up and down in less than 5 minutes and is unbelievably comfortable, I have slept in a lot worse 5 star hotel beds!!! The only one small criticism I had is that it could do with a couple of fold up chairs maybe so that you can seat 5/6 at the dining table. If I was being a bit fussy I would say with small children the walk to the swimming centre and main entertainment is a little far( nothing stopping you driving though). However the offset of this is that you are in the best location on the whole park with your own private gated access, and beautifully positioned lodges with rabbits running free everywhere. The walk through the nature trail to the beach is also lovely. In terms of the park itself I guess that's a separate review really but if you have a young family that need entertaining you will be hard pushed to beat it. It is a really well set out and maintained site and a lot of money has obviously been spent on it. It is very large though and no doubt can get really busy in the public areas as it did for us on the Sat/Sun. However if you are just looking for a quite relaxing break away in a peaceful location with nice accommodation I would highly recommend Christine's Lodge. I certainly hope to return again some day!!!

Hi Mark & Family, I really appreciate your review about the Lodge and the Park. You even wrote a great review in my guest book which was so very welcome. It's so lovely to hear back from guests, it's always on my mind as to whether they are happy there, and this review says it all ! I'm so glad you've had a good time and been comfortable too, I can't thank you enough for your honest and clear thoughts. I hope to see you all again soon. Kind regards

This is a beautiful lodge in a great location and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The lodge itself is very nice with lovely wide wraparound decking. The beds were super comfy and there were fans in each room. The green area outside was large enough for playing or kicking a ball around which was an unexpected bonus! Good value!

Hi Bernadette and family, Many Thanks for your review, I'm so glad you all enjoyed your stay, it was a pleasure having you all here and I really do hope to see you again next year. Once again , Thank you for your kind words I really appreciate your feedback. Many Thanks
