2023: At present (Nov22) we are unclear what weeks we will offer. We hope to get a bit more time at the van ourselves this year. Prices also uncertain now due to inflation etc.

Our caravan has superb, open views of sea and Isle of Wight in S.E, wonderful panorama of Downs round to Corfe Castle and the NW with very little obstruction. View includes steam railway trains running along the valley! Other vans are not very visible from inside so it does not feel at all like most crowded caravan parks.
Garden with solid stones steps to doors areas. Solid garden tables and chairs, rotary drier. The warm, light, spacious van features huge windows for the views and sunsets, see pictures...
It is well positioned in a quiet and low traffic area, with excellent access to nature reserve, cliff walks and Jurassic coast.

King size bed with two 3ft beds in second bedroom, part of the reason we purchased this van was the higher standard of space and bed in second room.

Swanage Bay View is a varied and lively place for all ages. Fishing and boat trips, watersports, golf, pitch and putt, putting, tennis, horse riding, cliff or woodland walks available locally.

Contact us with any questions but here are the basic details: Duvets and pillows are provided but bring your own bedlinen, duvet covers, pillowcases and towels. We provide a set of notes.

Space for 2 medium cars (1 in front, 1 behind it)

Saturday to Saturday bookings normally but check the availability calender for dates and prices. Van available from 3pm, please vacate by 10am on departure date.

We are unsure how suitable the van is for young children under 5, so we do not take bookings until we have some time to discuss the details.

Family With Young Children

Date of stay - 11 Aug 2018 - 18 Aug 2018

We have just returned from a lovely week here. Without a doubt, the best panoramic views we have ever enjoyed from a holiday property. The views are simply stunning both from the front overlooking the harbour and from the side overlooking the steam train passing below (binoculars were a great addition). The caravan itself is very modern with good facilities (including lovely hot showers both in the main bedroom and the bathroom) and we found it to be perfectly located for exploring the surrounding area. We particularly enjoyed a trip to Brownsea Island via the chain ferry from Studland and boat from Sandybanks but Studland and of course, Corfe Castle were other highlights. My only suggestion (if I was being picky!) would be it would be great if there was a hairdryer.

Glad you had what sounds like a good time, despite the weather being less wonderful than the previous few months! Will think about the hair dryer, but had been put off a bit by problems with them in a number of hotels in the past. One gave my wife a series of shocks. Even with annual testing if anything went wrong it could be unpleasant. I will mention it in the notes I send out so people can at least bring their own if they wish...

What a wonderful luxurious caravan it certainly has the WOW factor. An added bonus are the magnificent views of Swanage Bay and the hills towards Corfu Castle. We have visited this site every year for the past 40 years and hired various different caravans but this year the caravan was beyond our expectations and made up for the bad weather we had especially the terrible storm on the Tuesday night. We will definitely be contacting Colin who has been most helpful, to book for next year. Roll on 2018

Glad to hear it was enjoyable. Storms can be intense up on the hill, I quite enjoy a good storm so long as I am safe and dry! Thanks! Colin

A truly fabulous caravan in a wonderful position, it exceeded our expectations. Clean, modern and fully equipped, we couldn't have asked for more. And the views!! Outstanding! We hope to return, we had a great time despite the weather not being overly kind. Thank you Mr and Mrs W, for letting us hire your wonderful holiday home.

Hmm, yes very sorry about the summer so far.Good for the ducks & slugs is about all? I blame El Nio.Always good to hear from people who enjoyed their stay at the van despite conditions, so many thanks. Just back from a rather damp week at the caravan ourselves dodging the showers...

Firstly I would like to thank Colin as he was very helpful and informative during our booking process, it was well organised with all the information you need about the caravan. The caravan is fantastic 10/10 with all the equipment you need, modern open plan living room and kitchen, large comfortable bedroom with en suit, 2 large single beds and a great size main bathroom with free standing shower. Finaly the ever changing views from the caravan are outstanding!!! As they look out over Swanage bay/town, the surrounding hills and Corfe Castle on a clear day. Would definitely return and recommend to others. 10/10

Fantastic 5* caravan accommodation, in an outstanding position, with fabulous views of Swanage bay /town and the hills. The caravan is fully equipped very comfy and has washer/dryer and dishwasher. Roomy bedrooms with big beds and two showers /toilets. Sunrise views in the morning over the bay and sunset over the hills. Lovely area of Dorset. The scenery is outstanding.Colin the owner offers all the info you need to give you a trouble free holiday. We are a mature couple so cannot comment on suitability for younger children on the site, but we will certainly make this a regular booking.

WOW! Luxury beyond belief and can't wait to book again! Having spent many a childhood summer holiday in Swanage - at this very caravan site - I was apprehensive about how the place may have changed, but I was pleased to see much of the original character that I remembered from 30 years ago but the accommodation really made the difference. This van (277)is incredibly luxurious; Kind size double bed with en-suite bathroom; , main bathroom with free-standing shower, 2 single beds, combination boiler and gas central heating; generous living space with FULLY functional kitchen (washer/dryer, dishwasher, oven, grill, microwave, fridge/freezer etc) log fire and AMAZING views. Colin the owner was incredibly helpful and friendly and genuinely cared about making our stay as enjoyable as possible. 100% satisfied, 100% will re-book and 100% would recommend. A+++++

We like the log effect fire, and it adds a warming evening glow but is some sort of electronic flame effects with optional fan heater. Just wanted to say it is not a real log fire - much as we love them. We look forward to hosting Dan and family again!
