A great holiday home with lovely views. located on a sheep farm that is very quiet & peaceful, there are various types of birds to look out for including a woodpecker on the tree & fence. Janet the owner was brilliant, from our first enquiry through to when we left. we highly recommend this holiday home to anyone wanting either to just relax nearby or explore further . (the king size bed is an added bonus!)

Fantastic location on private farm, run by fabulous Janet and family. Homemade cake along with fresh milk and teabags await you. The caravan is cozy clean and warm, the tracks and public pathways take you on local walks that stand you in good stead for bigger walks, only half hour drive from base. Beautiful views across the langdales makes this stay one of my favorites in the lakes. Definitely be back soon.

The Caravan was spotlessly clean when we arrived and Janet was most welcoming and very helpful. The full-sized Fridge/ Freezer proved very useful, and the delicious Lemon Drizzle Cake left for us by Janet with a note saying 'Enjoy' was most appreciated. The location of the Caravan is perfect - very private and not overlooked in any way, and the views from the Caravan windows are delightful. The Caravan facilities are excellent, it is very well equipped, and the King-Sized Bed is one of the most comfortable Beds we have ever slept in. It is a very easy drive to Windermere, Ambleside, Grasmere, Keswick, and many other delightful places to visit throughout the Lake District. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have already booked the Caravan for September 2023 !

The caravan was spotlessly clean and equipped with virtually everything needed - our only suggestion would be an airer on which to dry the bath towels when the weather's not good enough to put them on the outside line. Excellent to have a full sized fridge freezer (with delicious cake!!) Janet was most welcoming and helpful. Lovely view and only sorry that the weather didn't always make the best of it. Enjoyed watching the sheep - it must be noisy at lambing time! We would have liked to walk from the caravan more but the lane was steeper than my husband could manage; easy journey into Windermere though which we explored thoroughly.

Absolutely fantastic location and hosts. We had a fantastic time and were able to totally relax as we both work very stressful jobs. This was just what the doctor ordered. Janet and Brian were so accommodating and there was nothing we needed except towels and tea towels. Everything else was supplied. Never had a caravan with everything you need stocked within the holiday home. Would recommend to anyone to stay at this wonderful rural, tranquil location with lovely views, good walks and a great pub at the bottom of the hill.

My husband and I had a fabulous time at the caravan. It is centrally based, only 3 miles from Windermere. The caravan has stunning views of the Langdales through it\'s large front windows and it is situated in a private area. Janet was very welcoming. The facilities are very good, huge shower, all the utensils you need, and a delicious cake in the fridge on arrival!. The caravan is very warm and cosy and has proper radiators. I would definitely recommend this caravan to friends and relatives and when we visit the Lake District again we will definitely re book. Thank you Janet

What a wonderful place to stay, so peaceful and tranquil, and so close to all main places to visit, the caravan was so lovely and the homemade cake on arrival was a lovely gesture and very much enjoyed. Our favorite place was Keswick and the scenery on the journey to there was break taking

From the first point of contact Janet was efficient and friendly. Emails were replied to very promptly and payment could be made electronically and the booking form scanned and emailed, this made for a quick and efficent way to book our holiday. On arrival we were welcomed by Janet who escorted us to the caravan and explained everything to us. We found the caravan to be spotlessly clean and comfortable, it was very well equipped with the little extras that make all the difference such as tupperware boxes for packed lunches, sandwich bags, clingfilm and foil and even a flask. There was a small bottle of milk in the fridge and a nice surprise beside it, with the note 'enjoy', what a thoughtful touch. There is also a very good sized freezer. There was also a small supply of tea, coffee and sugar just to get you started. As we have been to numerous caravans we always make sure to bring the essentials with us but we have never been to one where so much was made available. Salt, pepper and vinegar were suppled as was washing up liquid and cleaning spray. There was a variety of walks and maps in the drawers, books and games also. The beds were very comfortable and made up ready for us which was lovely. The caravan is situated in a beautiful private position with fantastic views to the Langdale fells, there is an enclosed garden area with a stream trickling through it and a picnic bench and barbecue. The caravan is situated only ten minutes drive to Windermere and fifteen minutes to Kendal, a great position not far from the hustle and bustle yet very peaceful with only the sheep for company. We will definitley return sometime soon. Thank you Janet.

My son and I stay here every year for our mountain biking holiday. Janet always makes you feel welcome and the caravan is spotless, spacious and has all the amenities you could possibly need. The location is amazing with breathtaking views of Langdales and countryside. Highly recommended especially as we keep returning each year. You can't relax anywhere nicer.
