Description

Although not right on the sea front this beautiful 14x40ft holiday home does enjoy good sea and countryside views. It is located on an end of row pitch with no caravans directly in front and backing onto fields with front and side decking that enjoy the sunshine all day. This holiday home has the added attraction that pet owners can bring up to two well behaved dogs at no additional cost. No queuing, you can come straight to the caravan with 2.30 arrival time.

In the carpeted lounge there are three seater and two seater sofas, a side table a large padded footstool with storage a 40in television, DVD player, DiAB radio with ceiling speakers and remote control, an electric fire with attractive flame effect. The patio doors open onto the front decking area with it's patio furniture and views of the sea and surrounding hills.

In the kitchen there is a dish washer and washing machine, microwave oven and gas cooker with five ring hob, a free standing table and four chairs. The kitchen door opens onto the side decking area with table and chairs and sun lounge chairs.

The master bedroom has a 5ft bed and ensuite shower room and walk in wardrobe there is also a wall mounted television, also an electric fan.
The twin bedroom has full size 3ft beds, ample wardrobe and drawer space and a wall mounted television. Accross the hall is the family bathroom.
This holiday home is ideally suited for an occupancy of four, although I could possibly allow 5 with the use of the bed settee in the lounge.
We offer full refunds in the event of guests being unable to travel due to local lock downs. We also advise taking out travel insurance against any other reasons that may prevent traveling.

Just arrived home after a wonderful week. The caravan was very clean and well stocked ( Terry had left towels cleaning products and dishwasher tablets just missing a mop and bucket) the site was clean and quiet and the shop on site was well equipped it's also a dog friendly site with plenty of dog walks to try . Cannot wait to go back next year fingers crossed Terry the owner was very helpful as we should have had this holiday last year but we had a family crisis and Terry just rearrange the says for us He was always on the end of the phone or answered your E mails also the day we arrived at the caravan he rang to make sure we had everything and if we needed anything he would get it sorted Thank you for a great time

Thank you for your very nice review and feedback. Mop and bucket installed! Hope to see you again. Regards Terry

Just home from our memorable weeks holiday - From the moment we stepped inside Terry & Julie’s van we felt totally “at home” - Everything to ensure a delightful holiday was inside this van and we were so happy that in the walk in wardrobe there was a desk fan, as we had some really good weather during our weeks break, and on returning back each late afternoon, the van was really warm and the fan helped especially during the night in the bedroom. Was great that we could open up the double doors onto the front decking to allow some fresh air in on our return each day. Was a lovely touch that Terry called to check we had arrived ok and gave us lots of helpful tips on places to visit during our break. We certainly made the most of the weather and the locality of the holiday park was ideal for getting out and about. I have left a review of the park on its FB page. The only item this van was missing was a Guest book, would have been nice to read others accounts of their holiday. Cannot believe how quiet it was where Terry’s van was yet still had the priviledge of glorious sea views from the front decking and the countryside from the side decking. Outside furniture too!! The van was so spacious and even the spare bedroom had room to move around in, which is something you dont get very often. The main bedroom was just like being in a hotel room - large comfortable bed, room to walk around, a dressing table unit with storage cupboard and shelving above, a walk in wardrobe with chest of drawers plus an en-suite shower room. Even supplied a hairdryer! The kitchen has everything you are likely to need while you are there, including a full size dishwasher and an integrated washer. A lovely 5 ring hob with overhead extractor. Only used these facilities a few mornings for breakfast as we ate out for the most part, but for anyone wanting to eat in, this van has all you are ever likely to need. We absolutely loved our weeks break in Somerset, and will definitely be returning at some point as there is so much to see and do and although we visited all the places we wanted to, we know there are many more still unvisited, so they will be on our “to do” for next time and will definitely be looking to book Terry & Julie’s van when we return. Thankyou for allowing us to hire your holiday home - it was beyond what we expected and we had a thoroughly enjoyable, busy, but very comfotable stay. 100% recommended xx

Thank you for your wonderful review, we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Yes there are so many beautiful places to visit in the area, hopefully you will be able to return one day to complete your tour. Many thanks Terry and Julie

Loved every part of the caravan it was immaculate, the views and sunsets were just amazing. The owner Terry couldn’t do enough for us and if ever he buys closer to where I live I would always rent from him. If you have any doubts on renting this caravan then don’t. It’s amazing. The only let down thing for me was the site but you can go off from there as we did. It’s run by youngsters who have no clue and you have to pay for the privilege of this £34 per person per week. We only left early as we were pinged by the NHS app to say that we were in contact with somebody with Covid on the day of our arrival. This was outdoors in the food area having drinks. Thank fully we are both double jabbed but now have to isolate for a further 4 days after our holiday has ended. Would still book a van with Terry and Julie tomorrow though ????

So sorry you had to leave early Lisa and thank you for nice review. Yes the park have been struggling a bit recently due to staff shortages(lots of pinging) and Haven are cash in on the covid situation by raising prices everywhere

This is like no caravan i have ever stayed in, its beautiful, we couldn't have asked for anything more. Everything you need, high quality furnishings, the bed was so comfortable, it was like a home from home. The views from the front decking are breath taking especially at sunset, watching the sun going down over the sea was amazing. I can not recommend this caravan enough. Its located in a lovely quiet area but only a couple of minutes walk to all the main site facilities. Absolutely 10 out of 10

Thank you for your brilliant review. We were fortunate to get a choice of pithes on this new development. We chose the one with the best views. Hope to see again. Many thanks Terry and Julie

I admit to being a little nervous booking during the post lockdown period having read some reviews on Trip Advisor for the Haven Caravan parks caravan cleanliness, and chose a privately owned caravan for this reason. We were delighted with both the condition and the cleanliness of the accommodation when we arrived. The caravan is really high end and well kept. The dishwasher and washing machine were much appreciated, having to self cater a fair bit owing to struggles getting meals out. The en suite to the master bedroom also made things a lot quicker getting us all out early for the day too! The position of this caravan is at the very back of the park, adjoining adjoining farmland, so really peaceful, yet we were pleasantly surprised to also have a sea view owing to its elevated position. Wonderful sunsets. A fairly heavy storm blew in for a couple of days, but we were sound and snug at night. It was very solid! There’s no faffing swapping gas tanks as it’s piped into the mains supply, and we did have to test the central heating one night (August...I know!) as it was very chilly, but it worked superbly. The park itself, whilst not our typical choice of holiday location, is quiet with generally well behaved children. The shop is well stocked, but we didn’t try any of the leisure facilities - not our scene really that’s all. The beach is nice for a walk although probably too rocky and muddy for sitting. Mine head further South West is much better. The park is positioned on the Somerset Coastal path so there is some excellent walking around, and some nice country pubs (book ahead though!). The Windmill, the Butchers Arms and the White Horse being our favourites. Watchet centre was a bit ‘closed’ but this may have been due to the Coronavirus issues. Dunster Castle and village, The Torre Cider Farm, Cleeve Abbey, Exmoor villages and Tropiquairia were all superb. The only slight inconvenience was having to take our own bedding and towels which took a fair bit of space in car, but I guess this was due to the Coronavirus restrictions, but we stayed in accommodation the week before where it was all provided, so I think this varies from place to place. All in all, a wonderful caravan, and a great base in a peaceful location to explore this beautiful area.

Thank you for your very good review. We're pleased you enjoyed your stay you certainly seemed to have explored the area well. With Regards bed linen and towels, we use a cleaning service who have undertaken coronavirus training and follow Haven's guidelines not to handle bedding or towels. We understand this may present a slight inconvenience for some but we believe it is right to take every precaution possible to prevent the spread of coronavirus and this would have been fully explained to you and all guests prior to arrival. Many thanks Terry and Julie.

Lovely clean tidy caravan in a very good location with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and the sea, you can even see Minehead in the distance. The caravan had everything we needed for a comfortable holiday with two nice furnished decks for sitting outside in the sun. There were lots of lovely walks to do and a little farm with a farm shop and afternoon teas right next door. The pretty village of Watchet can be reached by a very energetic walk across the beach and some very steep steps, (it's also about a five minute drive away) Considering the current situation with Covid 19 the caravan and whole site felt very safe.

Thank for your lovely review. Yes it is nice scenic park and they have made a great effort to get things right regarding coronavirus. Regards Terry and Julie

Just returned from a five night break feeling fully rested and recharged. The caravan is spotless and equipped to a high standard including hair dryer, iron, washing machine etc.. The location of the caravan is perfect if you like to be away hustle and bustle of the activities on the site but still within a short walking distance if you wish to access them. I have a 8 year old who’s had the time of his life playing on the outdoor equipment. Terry has been fantastic, from calls to check we’ve arrived safely, instructions were to find things in caravan etc.. Don’t think I’ve ever received service like it. We booked this as a last minute break having had our abroad holiday cancelled and just needing to get away for a few day. I honestly didn’t have high expectations. It has been amazing, met so many friendly people and definitely book with Terry again. One last point, it was great being able to take the dog.., he’s had the time of his life! If you are concerned about the caravan smelling “doggy” or grubby because of this don’t be. Even as a dog owner this is something that always bothers me, no trace of our four legged friends at all. Can’t wait to return..x

Thank you for your your wonderful review. Very much hope to see you again. Regards Terry and Julie
