I love staying in my caravan situated at Drifter 44 Seashore and have tried to make it a home from home. I hope you will enjoy sharing it with me.
My caravan is well equipped with all the usual facilities. It has patio doors with another small veranda. There is an iron + board, hair-dryer, travel cot, high chair and fan for hot days. There is surround sound from your ipod, wi-fi and a kingsize bed. The veranda has table and chairs, giving added space, especially useful for young children to eat and play. The storage box contains parasol and beach toys which you are welcome to use. (Please replace after use). Parking for caravan is tarmac. No muddy grass!
This Haven site Seashore Holiday Park has all the amenities you could wish for, but unfortunately some maynot be available this summer due to the Corona Virus. Evening entertainment and many daytime activities for children. The indoor pool is a shallow pool for non-swimmers + a popular splash zone . Big breakfasts here are a must! The menu is varied, together with a children’s menu, t the moment, just take-a-away.
There are take-away facilities and a Spa shop with a Costa and launderette. These will be available this summer The wide sandy beach adjoins Seashore where you can walk for miles. The sand dunes are a children's playground and if fortunate, you will see seals near the shore. On the western side of the site is Yarmouth horse racing track, very near the caravan. No, it won’t disturb you. There is also dog racing and speedway at Yarmouth Stadium within half a mile. The banger races are amazing! I do not know what is available in Yarmouth this summer, I suggest you look on the Yarmouth website for current information.
Yarmouth is just under a mile away, buses and road trains are frequent from outside the park [taxis are cheaper for four]. Yarmouth offers amusements, the Pleasure Beach (book online, it'’s cheaper), Merrivale Miniature Village is interesting with free putting for children. There is the Hippodrome [brilliant entertainment for all the family ] plus shopping and guided Heritage Walks. The Time and Tide Museum is one of the best in East Anglia (not for young children in my opinion). The adjacent café is excellent.
There are numerous other places to visit. The Norfolk coast for wildlife, Norfolk Broads – go to Wroxham for a broads trip and visit Roys of Wroxham. Nearly everything can be bought here! Their toy shop is brilliant. Children up to the age of 80 love Bewilderwood. Yes, I go on the zip wires and I’'m a pensioner! You need a day here, old clothes and a picnic. Pettits for the under 8’s is a lovely day out, Pleasurewood Hills and Africa Alive + lots more . Look in reception for brochures.
Norwich is only 30 miles away from Seashore, everything here - history, shops, and culture at the Sainsbury Centre.
Enjoy your holiday - Shirley
