This caravan is a well equipped luxury 2 bedroom mobile home with extra sleeping accommodation in the lounge, - therefore sleeping 6 maximum. It has gas fired central heating and double glazing. The kitchen has a gas hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer. In the comfortable lounge there is a flame effect electric fire, a 32 flatscreen digital TV, a DVD player and sound system as well as a Wii for you to use.

There is a toilet/shower room with heated towel rail and an additional toilet, attached to the master bedroom which has the benefit of spacious storage, a king size bed, TV and clock/radio. The smaller (children's) bedroom has twin beds, digital TV and DVD player.

Free Wi-Fi has recently become available. All gas charges, electricity, water, bed linen and duvets are included in the charge made.

There are patio doors, which open onto a roomy decked area where it is possible to sit outside and enjoy the Cornish sunshine. The position of the caravan is very close to the reception area, shop, launderette and drying area.

River Valley Country Park is well situated to explore West Cornwall. The towns of Penzance, Helston, Camborne and Hayle are all within easy reach. Penzance/Newlyn is famous as a maritime and fishing centre and for the Newlyn School Of Art in which local fishing scenes and people were often depicted. Helston is associated with the 'floral dance' and nearby Is Flambards Theme Park. The Camborne area is particularly linked with mining history heritage and the famous Cornish inventor Richard Trevithick.

Places of special interest include Lands End (18 miles approx), St Ives - home of the Tate Modern Art Gallery and the Barbara Hepworth Museum (10 miles approx) and world famous sites of St Michael's Mount at Marazion (3 miles approx) and Minack outdoor theatre at Porthcurno (15 miles). In recent times the coastal area between St Ives and St Just in Penwith has been used as locations for the "Poldark" series due to the atmospheric and well-preserved mining sites at Geevor and Botallack, and the Nationat Trust has completed the restoration of Godolphin House (5 miles).

Slightly further afield are the County town of Truro and Falmouth, home of the National Maritime Museum and Newquay the Surf capital of the UK. For those who want to enjoy the waves closer to the site the beaches at Praa Sands (south coast) or Gwithian (north coast) are probably the best - both about 10 miles away. Other great beaches at Marazion, St Ives, Porthcurno and Sennen and dog-friendly beach at Long Rock near Penzance, but our favourite is the closest at Perranuthnoe (3 miles) as it is small and compact which made it great for our children. Walkers can choose which bit of the SouthWest Coast Path they want to sample and details of local walks are easily available at the site or local shop at Goldsithney.

We also try to leave details of local hostelries and restaurants at the caravan (and site reception is useful here). West Cornwall is well served by local food and drink producers and providers. Maybe, try sampling as many pasty producers you can during your stay (we have our favourites but we're not telling)? For us, fish and chips in Penzance or Newlyn is a "must" followed by an icecream from Jelberts in Newlyn - they only do vanilla but there's always a queue at their only outlet! Then you can drift a mile or two along the coast to Mousehole (Mowzle) home of the famous Mousehole cat, and Stargazy Pie?!

Detailed information of local amenities and places of interest can be found in the caravan and at the site reception.

Had a wonderful holiday staying in this perfect caravan situated in a most beautiful setting. Very private and quiet with numerous places to visit on the doorstep. Caravan was luxurious and contained everything you could need and more! Was great to take our 2 small dogs with us who enjoyed time on the enclosured decking and loved the enclosed dog field. Birds and squirrels visited daily which added to our holiday here. Appreciated the tvs in bedrooms with a teenage daughter in poor health was ideal on rough days! Will definitely be returning!!!

This is a beautiful caravan with everything and more you would expect from a caravan holiday. Comfy beds, spacious, clean, extra games equipment for the kids. I would def recommend this caravan and I would stay here again. Owners replies to emails were quick and helpful. Reasonably priced and location was excellent for us. Wish this was my van! Thanks again the Parkin family.

What a fantastic caravan everything that you need is in the caravan. The position of the caravan can't be beaten it was so quiet and peaceful. It was lovely to see the different birds coming to feed from the feeders on the balcony.I believe the bed is the most comfortable bed that we have slept on ever on our hols. The owners were lovely to deal with from making the booking to when we returned home.It was a pleasure to book with them. From the whole experience I wouldn't hesitate in making another booking in the future with them.

Outstanding!A fabulous caravan on a fabulous site. Everything was provided, a comfortable, spotlessly clean caravan. We arrived to find a pint of milk and a bottle of water in the fridge and a lovely personal message on a postcard on the dining area table. A warm cosy spacious van with beautiful large decked area. The use of all the facilities the owner provided made for a luxurious stay. Owners went above and beyond what was ever expected to provide us with a relaxing and easy holiday, wish we could have stayed longer. Very approachable owners, easy to communicate with which provided ease and peace of mind when booking.

Superb! A lovely modern and comfortable van, very well-equipped with everything you could possibly need, including all kitchen equipment, plus 3 t.v's and a sound system! Warm and cosy when chilly, with central heating and a very efficient fire in the living area, and also a large decking area so you can sit outside when sunny. A very attractive quiet and well-maintained site, and the caravan is not overlooked as there are plenty of trees screening each area.It is in pretty countryside, but within easy driving distance of lots of coastal towns and places of interest.Easy parking right outside the caravan. Caravan owners very helpful and courteous, made it easy to sort out booking and were happy to help with any queries. We'll be back!
