Description

Description

This caravan is a well-equipped 2 bedroom mobile home - it is the same size as 3 bedroom models but we let it on the basis of 4 guests maximum sleeping two in the main bedroom (king sized bed) and two in the small bedroom (twin bunk sized beds) - sleeping taller people in the latter is not impossible but we wouldn’t consider it ideal - this allows for more personal space and distance we feel. Also in the light of COVID we offer discounts for couples and/or two week bookings and will spread our bookings out in order to minimise risk, also we can reassure guests that the van will be comprehensively cleaned between bookings and fresh bed linen provided. Guests will be asked to follow some simple procedures to again minimise risk of infection, details of which will be provided, these will be common sense and certainly not onerous.

The van has gas fired central heating and double glazing. The kitchen has a gas hob and oven, microwave, and fridge-freezer. In the comfortable lounge there is a flame effect electric fire, a 43 inch Smart TV, including Netfllix and DVD player.

There is a main shower room with toilet, and an additional toilet and washbasin attached to the master bedroom - which has the benefit of lots of storage, and a king size bed. The smaller (children's) bedroom has twin beds.

Free Wi-Fi has recently become available All gas charges, electricity, water, bed linen and duvets are included in the charge made.

There are patio doors, which open onto a spacious plastic decking area where it is possible to sit outside. The position of the caravan is very close to the reception area, shop, launderette and drying area.

River Valley Country Park is well situated to explore West Cornwall. The towns of Penzance, Helston, Camborne and Hayle are all within easy reach. Penzance/Newlyn is famous as a maritime and fishing centre and for the Newlyn School Of Art in which local fishing scenes and people were often depicted. Helston is associated with the 'floral dance' and nearby Is Flambards Theme Park. The Camborne area is particularly linked with mining history heritage and the famous Cornish inventor Richard Trevithick.

Places of special interest include Lands End (18 miles approx), St Ives - home of the Tate Modern Art Gallery and the Barbara Hepworth Museum (10 miles approx) and world famous sites of St Michael's Mount at Marazion (3 miles approx) and Minack outdoor theatre at Porthcurno (15 miles). In recent times the coastal area between St Ives and St Just in Penwith has been used as locations for the "Poldark" series due to the atmospheric and well-preserved mining sites at Geevor and Botallack, and the Nationat Trust has completed the restoration of Godolphin House (5 miles).

Slightly further afield are the County town of Truro and Falmouth, home of the National Maritime Museum and Newquay the “surfing capital” of the UK. For those who want to enjoy the waves closer to the site the beaches at Praa Sands (south coast) or Gwithian (north coast) are probably the best - both about 10 miles away. Other great beaches can be found at St Ives, Porthcurno, Sennen and the year round dog-friendly beach at Long Rock near Penzance. Our favourite is the closest at Perranuthnoe (3 miles) as it is small and compact which makes it great for children. Walkers can choose which bit of the SouthWest Coast Path they want to sample and details of local walks are easily available at the site or local shop at Goldsithney.

We try to leave details of local hostelries and restaurants at the caravan - West Cornwall is well served by local food and drink producers and providers. Detailed information of local amenities and places of interest can also be found at the site reception.

Had a wonderful holiday staying in this perfect caravan situated in a most beautiful setting. Very private and quiet with numerous places to visit on the doorstep. Caravan was luxurious and contained everything you could need and more! Was great to take our 2 small dogs with us who enjoyed time on the enclosured decking and loved the enclosed dog field. Birds and squirrels visited daily which added to our holiday here. Appreciated the tvs in bedrooms with a teenage daughter in poor health was ideal on rough days! Will definitely be returning!!!

This is a beautiful caravan with everything and more you would expect from a caravan holiday. Comfy beds, spacious, clean, extra games equipment for the kids. I would def recommend this caravan and I would stay here again. Owners replies to emails were quick and helpful. Reasonably priced and location was excellent for us. Wish this was my van! Thanks again the Parkin family.

What a fantastic caravan everything that you need is in the caravan. The position of the caravan can't be beaten it was so quiet and peaceful. It was lovely to see the different birds coming to feed from the feeders on the balcony.I believe the bed is the most comfortable bed that we have slept on ever on our hols. The owners were lovely to deal with from making the booking to when we returned home.It was a pleasure to book with them. From the whole experience I wouldn't hesitate in making another booking in the future with them.

Outstanding!A fabulous caravan on a fabulous site. Everything was provided, a comfortable, spotlessly clean caravan. We arrived to find a pint of milk and a bottle of water in the fridge and a lovely personal message on a postcard on the dining area table. A warm cosy spacious van with beautiful large decked area. The use of all the facilities the owner provided made for a luxurious stay. Owners went above and beyond what was ever expected to provide us with a relaxing and easy holiday, wish we could have stayed longer. Very approachable owners, easy to communicate with which provided ease and peace of mind when booking.

Thank you very much for this review. We try to provide the same standard that we ourselves would like to receive.

Superb! A lovely modern and comfortable van, very well-equipped with everything you could possibly need, including all kitchen equipment, plus 3 t.v's and a sound system! Warm and cosy when chilly, with central heating and a very efficient fire in the living area, and also a large decking area so you can sit outside when sunny. A very attractive quiet and well-maintained site, and the caravan is not overlooked as there are plenty of trees screening each area.It is in pretty countryside, but within easy driving distance of lots of coastal towns and places of interest.Easy parking right outside the caravan. Caravan owners very helpful and courteous, made it easy to sort out booking and were happy to help with any queries. We'll be back!
