Owner Description

Our brand new 2016 caravan is well equipped and very stylish with its larger bedroom which spans the entire width of the rear of the caravan and also has an ensuite WC. It's located on the fantastic Butlins resort at Minehead in Somerset. Located at Number 119 River Cove on the Butlins Caravan Village within Butlins resort, it's perfectly sited away from the road and the lake so ideal especially if you have children in your party. We also have two other caravans on site (number 118 River Cove and 147 Viking Cove) - they're adjacent to each other in a triangle so great if you have a larger party wishing to holiday together (please see our personal website www.caravanhirebutlinsminehead.co.uk or id2757 and id607 on this site).

The caravan is a Willerby Rio Gold 37ft x 12ft. It has central heating throughout and constant hot water on demand from a combi boiler. All windows are double glazed. It has one double bedroom with ensuite WC, and two twin bedrooms.

There is a pull-out double bed in the lounge. There's a shower room with toilet and wash hand basin, and an additional ensuite WC and wash hand basin. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a gas oven and hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and a full size fridge freezer. There is plenty of seating in the lounge area, and the dining area has a dining table with sofa-style seating and stools. Also in the lounge there is an electric fire, 32inch flat screen TV and DVD player.

The caravan is located on a good plot on the Caravan Park, away from the road and the lake, and overlooking a good sized grass area. There is a patio area with a large round picnic table which can seat up to 8 people. There's a lockable outside store which is handy for storing your beach equipment, pushchairs, children's scooters, etc.- there are also some more garden chairs stored away in here for you to use. The allocated car parking space is near to the caravan, so not too far to carry your luggage.

We provide superb quality pillows, pillow protectors, duvets and waterproof mattress protectors and all beds will be made up with fresh linen ready for your arrival - meaning more space in your vehicle, less time spent making beds but more time to holiday! (Please note although a travel cot is provided you will need to bring your own cot linen). Please also bring your own towels and teatowels. There is an iron and ironing board in the caravan, together with a clothes airer, and there's an outdoor rotary airer and clothes pegs. There is also an excellent quality Travel Cot, Highchair and Bedguard in the caravan, and there are plentiful plastic cups, plates and bowls too for your young children, so just a few things less to pack.

Mains gas, electricity and water are all included in the price of the caravan hire. You are welcome to fish the on site fishing lake which is free for caravan guests to use - no licence required.

The fabulous Butlins entertainment and leisure facilities are also included in the price of the caravan hire (with the exception of some ticket-only events which are detailed on our pricing page). Take a look at the Butlins website to see all that the Butlins resort has to offer.

The beautiful sandy beach is opposite Butlins just a short walk away from the site, and the pretty Minehead town centre is also within walking distance. If you fancy a longer stroll, head along the promenade to the Harbour.

I stayed as part of a family group including some young children at 607 and also 2757 and 3507 all owned by Dawn. Dawn was extremely friendly and helpful during and after the booking process and nothing was too much trouble. The caravans are extremely well equipped with much thought having gone into the equipment and storage requirements whilst on holiday. All 3 caravans are well maintained and are well presented. I have booked one of the caravans again for next year and would highly recommend.
