Elie Holiday Park (formerly known as) Shell Bay Caravan Park in Fife Scotland Suitable for family holidays or just a relaxing break. It is an ideal place if you want to be active and want to cycle, play golf or just enjoy the nature.
Great for walking with the dogs!!

Elie Holiday Park is only 8 miles from St Andrews and the famous golf courses. The site has a very big Clubhouse with Cabaret at weekends and seven days per week when the children are on school holidays, there is also bingo every night.

There is a very nice restaurant on the site and a children's play area. There is also a very largely stocked shop(although small, they keep fresh rolls, bread and butcher meat) on site, which also sells newspapers There is no swimming pool as the caravan site is directly on the beach.

There is an indoor swimming pool in Leven which is about 8 miles away from the site. There is also good Shopping centres in Kirkcaldy and Glenrothes which are about 40min drive from the site. You can always visit some of the small fishing villages on the east coast and also the secret bunker.

Please note although we allow pets in our caravan. We do not allow them in the bedrooms as I have had to replace several duvets from the start of the season because of dogs hairs being on them. SMOKING IS ALLOWED ON THE BALCONY.

There is a sky dish on this caravan so if your children don't want to miss their favourite tv shows, you can bring your own viewing box from home. It is all ready to just plug in.

Before you arrive I will give you the choice of the beds being freshly made or not. I know from experience that some people prefer to do this themselves. If not the fresh bedding will be laid on top of the beds instead. We also have a washing machine installed in shed at caravan which you are free to use and a drying area. I supply washing powder and softener. Also in the shed is an extra fridge/freezer which allows you to bring extra supplies with you. there is also a couple of kids scooters in there.

A welcome pack will also be provided on arrival (tea, coffee, sugar) enough for a few days. Also kept in the caravan are toilet rolls, kitchen roll, Washing up liquid and cleaning materials, dish towels, all towels and clean bedding in the cupboards.

Ruddons Bar for entertainment ... plz copy and paste.

Date of stay - 18 Jul 2020 - 1 Aug 2020

Terrible stay. Caravan was filthy. Cutlery drawer was full of crumbs. Carpets badly stained. Mats covering stains were smelly. One mattress in small room did not have a protector on it, neither did half the pillows. Table on decking extremely rusty and unsteady. Sofas stained and smelly. Boiler didn't work properly so unable to have a hot shower for any length of time. Current owner came on 4 occasions, 3 of which I had to wait in for him 4th he didn't tell me he was coming. Unable to sort the boiler. Previous owner tried to help over the phone but still no use. On their plus side I was given a partial refund due to ruined days. Neighbours arrived in no 14 during our 2nd week and partied until 3am up until then was quiet and relaxing area.. A common occurrence apparently. Only plus side, washing machine.

Hi Karen Sorry about the state you are saying the caravan was in. I have sent this review to the cleaner . When I spoke you on the telephone I thought the boiler was sorted as you did not call me back to say otherwise. I have since learnt that the park has had a problem with the water pressure and the showers have been going hot and cold, so this infact was not the caravans fault, but the parks. Regards Helen

We spent a great fortnight at this caravan, the caravan was basically a home from home with all the facilities we could ask for. The caravan was spotless, well equipped and beautifully presented, the washing machine was also a welcome addition as was the drying area. Loads of towels, bedding etc also laid on but we had taken our own anyway but still a lovely touch from the owner. The park itself was also immaculate and the best we have ever been to in over 35 years which is saying something,it is well run and the walks on the beach and forest were a joy for us and our dog. We are already looking forward to returning for another 2 weeks next year,we can't wait.

Had a lovely stay at Helen's caravan for September weekend. Definitely a home from home with everything you could possibly need and with an abundance of towels and cleaning products, bedding etc. Great park for the beach access and lovely walks with the dogs. Would definitely recommend.

Thank you very much Pauline xx

Just returned from lovely family week away. The caravan itself is spotlessly clean and well looked after. The extras provided were a real treat, tea, coffee, sugar, condiments, loo rolls and cleaning products as well as plenty of towels and tea towels. Also the luxury of a washing machine if like us travelling with small children! The park is lovely, large but fairly quiet with great walks, woodland, coastal path and of course the beach. There is also a lovely play park and entertainment in the evenings. Thank you for a lovely stay, we will definitely return in the future!x

Thanks very much for you review. So glad you enjoyed your stay. Will mention to kath next door about your lovely words regarding her. Thanks again x
