Swanage Bay View Holiday Park is situated overlooking the town and the bay. Only 1 mile from the town centre, the beach and the steam railway which can be seen and heard at the start of its journey up to Corfe Castle from the van!
There are 3 local shops within a 10 minute walk; the Spa shop (which has a proper butchery department and a small freshly baked goods section) near the Globe pub and Golden Bengal. Small shop at the bottom of Steer Road and Arkwright's on High Street heading into Town via the footpath.

There are plenty of restaurants in Swanage if you don't want to go far, Seafood, Chinese, Indian and of course plenty of Independent Fish and Chip shops. But please remember to check your chosen restaurant is still open!!

If restaurants aren’t your thing, then Swanage is awash with Pubs serving food. My personal preference is the Red Lion on the High Street.

Hayman's bakery and many other independent Café & Bakery outlets can be found in Town. The local Budgen's does freshly baked artisan breads, local produce galore along with your basics - ditto the Co-op.

During your stay, you’ll find the van is fully equipped, with duvets, pillows and mattress protectors. If you would like bedding there is a £25 charge for the linen (which is provided, with the beds made up, all freshly laundered). Access to the toilet & shower is via Jack and Jill style doors to allow guests full privacy.

A few basics can be found in the van. Such as Tea, coffee & sugars; Salt, Pepper & Vinegar; Cling Film & Tin Foil; a small selection of flavourings.

Pets are very welcome, but I do ask if dogs do go on to the beds and sofa, that you put blankets down for them first please. For my guests who do bring along their most welcomed pets, under the sink you will find a few bowls, doggy treats and the all important dog waste bags.

New for 2020 will be a small herb garden with a selection of the 6 most popular herbs for the budding Galloping Gourmets (ask your Parents!) amongst you.

Outdoors, the secluded lawn and furniture are currently undergoing renovation/replacement (April 2019) and should be ready for your enjoyment very soon. There is also a selection of plastic buckets & spades stored outdoors for your use on the beach - the site nor van owner will be liable for any damage or injury caused by their use. Afterwards, please leave them clean ready for the next guests to use.

All around Swanage there are interesting places to visit, if you would like to go further afield, such as Corfe Castle, Blue Pool, Durdle Door, Monkey World, Bovington Tank Museum and many more attractions. There is also the beautiful countryside and award winning beaches, many places to walk, cycle or drive. This home is within walking distance of the coastal path and Durlston Country Park and overlooks the Dorset Wildlife Trust fields. There are many interesting scenic walks down into town. In the van you will find a well stocked leaflet display case.

A real home from home in a relaxing, peaceful spot, not overlooked by any other vans. So put your feet up and unwind.

On your day of departure, please be mindful of the short turn round time. Could you therefore take your re-cycling and rubbish to the appropriate collection point on site – of which there are numerous. This is to allow a thorough clean & turnaround. Your cooperation is much appreciated. Many thanks.
