JUNE 2020 UPDATE ************* STOP PRESS - GOOD NEWS *******************
Aria, the site owners, have done a splendid job of preparing the site for summer guests, with the help of the onsite dedicated staff. It looks superb.
In response to the diluting of restrictions by the government, the site will REOPEN ON 4th JULY. Below is what Aria are doing to protect staff & guests moving forward:
Getting ready to welcome you back
We are looking forward to welcoming you back to our resorts this summer. Life for everyone has changed in the last few months and we, like you, have been navigating through these strange and scary times as the Government has put in measures to help the country through this pandemic.
So, we want to reassure you, we are doing our upmost to keep you, our guests and our staff safe so you can confidently enjoy your holiday home again soon.
Our teams are fully trained, we are increasing our cleaning operations, we have antibacterial spray and alcohol hand gel available and we are putting social distancing measures in place. We'll also need your help when you stay too.
Here’s our charter outlining our commitment to you, to help keep you safe when you’re on resort.
Keeping you safe…
- A fully trained team
- Increased cleaning
- Antibacterial spray/hand gel available
- Increased chlorine levels in pools
- Social distancing restrictions in place
Help us, help you:
- Use hand gel & antibacterial spray
- Contact us by phone or email
- If you feel unwell, go home immediately

UPDATE - MARCH 2020
Unfortunately, the site has had to close because of the Coronavirus. The closure is until the end of April 2020 - at the earliest. I was asked to inform all guests of this sad but not unexpected decision and that their booking is cancelled. I am very grateful to the majority who transferred their booking to another date later in the year.
The team at Swanage Bay View have done a superb job of preparing the site which now looks immaculate.
I am in the process of update the availability system with 2021 dates whose prices will remain at the 2019/2020 level.
Listing last updated 5th September 2019 to include details of the next 16 months school holidays.

Swanage Bay View Holiday Park is situated overlooking the town and the bay. Only 1 mile from the town centre, the beach and the steam railway which can just be seen and heard at the start of its journey up to Corfe Castle from the van!
Inside van180 is a comprehensive folder giving the holidaymaker a wide variety of options and all the vital info you may (or may not) need; Dentists, Vets, Public Transport, Eating, Drinking & Shopping etc.
There are 3 local shops within a 10 minute walk; the Spa shop (which has a proper butchery department and a small freshly baked goods section) near the Globe pub and Golden Bengal. Small shop at the bottom of Steer Road and Arkwright's on High Street heading into Town via the footpath opposite.
There are plenty of restaurants in Swanage if you don't want to go far, Seafood, Chinese, Indian and of course plenty of Independent Fish and Chip shops. But please remember to check your chosen restaurant is still open!!
If restaurants aren’t your thing, then Swanage is awash with Pubs serving food. My personal preference is the Red Lion on the High Street.
Hayman's bakery and many other independent Café & Bakery outlets can be found in Town. The local Budgen's does freshly baked artisan breads, local produce galore along with your basics - ditto the Co-op.
A few basics can be found in the van. Such as Tea, coffee & sugars; Salt, Pepper & Vinegar; Cling Film & Tin Foil; a small selection of flavourings.
As with most other van hirers, would you please bring your own bed linen (duvet covers, base sheets and pillow cases) and a selection of your own towels (beach, shower, hand & tea towels). Duvets and pillows can be found in their respective bedrooms.
Pets are very welcome, but I do ask if dogs do go on to the beds and sofa, that you put blankets down for them first please. For my guests who do bring along their most welcomed pets, under the sink you will find a few bowls, doggy treats and the all important dog waste bags.
All around Swanage there are interesting places to visit, if you would like to go further afield, such as Corfe Castle, Blue Pool, Durdle Door, Monkey World, Bovington Tank Museum and many more attractions. There is also the beautiful countryside and award winning beaches, many places to walk, cycle or drive. This home is within walking distance of the coastal path and Durlston Country Park and overlooks the Dorset Wildlife Trust fields. There are many interesting scenic walks down into town. In the van you will find a well stocked leaflet display case.
A real home from home in a relaxing, peaceful spot, not overlooked by any other vans. So put your feet up and unwind.
On your day of departure, please be mindful of the short turn round time. Could you therefore take your re-cycling and rubbish to the appropriate collection point on site – of which there are numerous. This is to allow a thorough clean & turnaround. Your cooperation is much appreciated. Many thanks.
If your chosen week is not available, please see my other van on the same caravan site at https://www.ukcaravans4hire.com/to-let-userid5921.html
The site is closed to all bookings from 15th January until 1st March.
You have my contact details should you have any queries before confirming your reservation
