Owner Description

A very peaceful and secluded pitch in the desirable Woodland View area of the award winning 5* Shorefield Country Park, just 5 minutes walk from the beach. The park is ideally located just 2 miles from the New Forest and has every amenity including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, bars, restaurant, indoor & outdoor play areas, fitness suite, health spa, large supermarket, small fishing lake etc. Wi-fi is freely available throughout the park including in the caravan. The home is a modern 2 bedroom property that sleeps up to 6 guests with a pull out sofa bed in the sitting with 1 double and 1 twin bedroom. It has a large secure decking area safe for children and dogs.

The unit itself is complete with all the facilities that you would expect. There is central heating and double glazing and usb charging sockets in every room. The kitchen has a gas hob with fan assisted electric oven, fridge / freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster along with all the cutlery, crockery and utensils. The living room has a large sofa with a 32" smart tv, DVD player, bluetooth DAB radio with usb charging socket, 2 portable weatherproof bluetooth speakers / lanterns / power-banks for outside or inside use, a hard drive connected to the tv with a large variety of family films, Disney films, comedies, music etc, DVD's, games and books. Even the table lamp has a usb charging point. Both bedrooms have plenty of storage with wardrobes with drawers and hangers, charging sockets, bluetooth DAB clock radios and a hairdryer. The bathroom has a large powerful shower. An iron, ironing board, clothes dryer, vacuum cleaner etc are all provided as is bedlinen. Please bring your own towels. The outside decking area has a dining area and additional seating with small drinks table, 2 led security lights and a remote controlled floodlight for al fresco dining.

If you want somewhere to get away from it all, then this is the place for you. The amount of wildlife right by the caravan is truly extraordinary - Whether they are rabbits, squirrels, deer, green woodpeckers [ my favourite! ]. pheasant, a huge array of tits, finches and other birds that feed off the bird feeders provided, there is always something to see. We also provide binoculars and a Nikon DSLR camera with a powerful zoom lens so you can capture wildlife and upload it to your laptop / macbook etc. Please feel free to top up the bird feeders when necessary from the food provided as they seem to get through it at an astonishing rate. There is also a bird bath for our feathered friends.

This is a fantastic location on the edge of the New Forest national park and only 5 minutes walk / 2 minutes drive to the picturesque shingle beach which overlooks the Solent to the Isle of Wight and the Needles with panoramic views across to Bournemouth and Swanage.

The site itself is set in over 100 acres of park / woodland. There is a large indoor swimming pool with children's area, hot and cold jacuzzis, a heated outdoor pool [ seasonal ], a large well stocked supermarket, fitness suite with personal trainers, health spa, 3 bars of which 1 is dog friendly, restaurant, indoor games room, indoor and outdoor play areas, daily children's and adults entertainment and a small fishing lake [ fishing licence required ] and free Wi fi throughout the park. Family passes are available for £50 per week to gain unlimited access to the fitness suite and the indoor and outdoor pools.

There is so much to do in this area on both good and wet days. It is a short drive to Bournemouth / Poole and the famous Sandbanks, Southampton and Portsmouth with the Spinnaker Tower, HMS Victory and Gunwharf Quays, the cathedral cities of Winchester and Salisbury not forgetting about Stonehenge. For Children nearby is Paultons park with Peppa Pig World, New Forest Wildlife Park, Bournemouth Aquarium, Moors Valley country park with Go Ape etc. Beaulieu National Motor Museum and Longleat Safari Park are both full days out and enjoyable for the whole family. And of course a day trip to the Isle of Wight which can be reached from Lymington close by, either as a foot passenger or by car.
