Owner Description

Our 4 berth Static Caravan is located on Lakeside Touring Caravan Park which is situated just outside the small village of Thorney, only seven miles from the cathedral city of Lincoln. The area is ideal for cyclists and the cycle track runs to Lincoln from the next village .Newark with its Castle, market square and river trips is on 10 miles along uncongested roads and the county lanes of this rural area. Eight miles from the site is the market town of Gainsborough which, with its medieval Old Hall, provides yet another attraction. Mill field golf complex with its three courses is only five miles away. A chemist, Post office, grocery store and newsagents, along with a Chinese takeaway and a highly recommended fish and chip shop can be found in Saxilby, only 3 miles from the site.
There are also plenty of local pubs in the area, and most are also xcelkent eating houses. The site is a flat, landscaped grass site located in 15 acres of private land with wooded and open areas. It is a quiet secluded site.
The five acres of woodland and a dedicated exercise field provide an ideal area for exercising dogs who may accompany you. Owls, woodpeckers and many other birds, especially wildfowl add interest to the site and surroundings. At the heart of the site are two well stocked picturesque lakes. The carp up to 18lbs, trench, beam, Chubb, roach and rudd
Our site is equipped with modern, centrally heated toilet and shower block with seperate disabled facilities and laundry room.

What a beautiful setting this static is on overlooking a picturesque lake lovely views Caught some lovely fish and the weather was great Nice enclosed patio area outside for our dog he loved it Close to Saxilby which is only a couple of miles away which as a variety of shops Debbie cannot do enough nothing is too much trouble for her Very large woodland area to walk your dog Can’t fault our holiday at all Thank you so much we will be returning
