hi, my name is John Lee. thanks for looking at our caravan. we originally bought our first caravan back in 2007 on Haggerston Castle, and just used it for family get aways, and we use to just let haven let it out for us when we weren't using it. in 2017, we decided to take control of the bookings, and began renting it out ourselves, and from then, we have built a good diary of guests who tend to come back year after year and holiday in our caravan. at the end of 2020 we decided to upgrade to a brand new caravan, so our guests could enjoy the benefits of a nice new fresh van, in a peaceful and relaxing location.

Description

it is conveniently located in a nice quiet lakeside pitch on Peninsula Lawn with stunning views over the main lake, with lots of wildlife to fascinate both adults and children. It's also just 2-3 minute walk from Funworks and reception.

The caravan has a lovely modern decking area with a secure gate on the entrance, as well as double patio doors which open from the lounge area onto the front of the caravan, providing you with a lovely relaxing view of the lake and the swans along with the other wildlife. The caravan has gas central heating & double glazing, a fully equipped kitchen/diner with an integrated fridge & seperate freezer, Dishwasher and a lounge area with free standing sofas for added comfort.

The large lounge area has 2 sofas (1 is a fold out sofa bed), gas fire, 40inch TV/ DVD player, with netflix. From here there are patio doors that lead onto a large decking area, complete with garden table & chairs, and views of the lake.

The modern fitted kitchen comes with everything you will need, including pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, glasses, toaster and kettle etc. There is a microwave, large oven and hob, large fridge freezer, dishwasher, freestanding dining table and 4 chairs

The main bedroom has a double bed, 32"TV/DVD, fitted wardrobes and an en-suite toilet. The second & third bedrooms have two single beds and a wardrobe.

The main bathroom has a large power shower, with a hand basin and toilet.

The caravan is comfortably furnished throughout, to assist all guests in enjoying their stay in a welcoming homely environment. we can supply a travel cot if required.

Haggerston Castle is a beautiful park, full of nature walks (including one to the beach) and this year the new 'Nature Rocks' programme is proving popular with children. However, the park is also packed with sport and leisure facilities and has a lively entertainment programme.

The park is located just off the A1, just south of Berwick on Tweed and the Scottish borders. The beautiful Northumberland coast is so easy to explore. nearby places worth visiting include Holy island ( Lindisfarne ) Bamburgh Castle , Seahouses Alnwick Castle / Alnwick Gardens & of course Berwick upon Tweed. Information on places of interest can be found in the caravan, as well as from the park reception.

Park Passes are NOT supplied. These can be purchased from Haggerston Castle reception on arrival.

Thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity to stay at your caravan. It is a stunning van, incredibly modern, comfortable and clean inside situated in a beautiful section of the park, providing stunning views across the lake. John provided us with an incredible amount of information about what is available in the surrounding area which was super helpful! We had absolutely no issues at all and I would absolutely recommend this van to anyone looking for a relaxing break!

5* accommodation. Lovely, clean well equipped caravan right by the lake. Kids loved watching the birds on the veranda every morning. Excellent,friendly service. Highly recommended.

Stayed in this lovely caravan for 4 nights. Caravan was spotlessly clean, is very well equipped and has a dishwasher. Couldn’t fault the caravan or the owner (great at providing info and communicating). Lovely spot with decking, overlooking the lake. Would happily go back to this caravan for another break.

Had a fantastic stay in this caravan on the lake. Great facilities dish washer was a bonus . Clean and fresh as you walk through caravan door . If you need a break this caravan is a must as it’s so relaxing just watching the ducks & swans on the lake .

Stayed in this caravan for 3 nights. The caravan is absolutely lovely, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Decking overlooks the lake, parking space for a car at the back of the caravan and about 5 mins walk to the main complex. Communication with the owner was great and he was very helpful. I was really pleased we booked privately rather than booking through Haven. I would definitely go back and stay in this caravan again.

I have to admit I was reluctant to book privately but I read the reviews and did my research and we definitely were not disappointed, absolutely beautiful location, caravan was spotless, really quiet location yet only 2 min walk to complex, John answered any questions I had within a few minutes even before we arrived, gave us loads of great advice about inside the park and what’s available outside the park too. Overall a great experience and would definitely rebook with them. Thank you guys for an awesome weekend in your beautiful caravan that feels like a home ????

Recently returned from a weeks holiday at this caravan and had a great time. The caravan was spotless and was a proper home from home. The caravan is sited less than a 5 minute walk from the complex, overlooking the large lake. Hope to return soon. Cheers.

We had a fab stay this weekend! A lovely caravan which is clearly well looked after ???? Fab views over the lake (our children loved feeding the swans and their babies over the decking!) and only a short walk away from the main complex. Beautifully appointed caravan near enough to all the complex facilities but far enough that it was nice and peaceful. Spotlessly clean, free wifi and beds made up on arrival, would definitely stay here again. I gave a 9 for caravan facilities, as the only area I would improve on is perhaps a selection of board games, cards etc for a quiet evening in, but this does not detract from the comfort of the caravan at all.

Had our children at Haggerston for the last weekend of the holidays and it was great, the caravan was very clean on a arrival and my god it felt like luxury compared to home. everything we needed was already there making what should have been a pretty stressful holiday much easier. The caravan is in a great location for both a relaxing holiday as well as a family holiday with secure decking area which we made use of on our final day whilst it was warm our toddler could safely Play. We definitely recommend this caravan as you will have a much better stay than a haven caravan.

Lovely, clean and well presented caravan. Beautiful view over lake, great quiet location and only a short walk from complex. Friendly, informative and helpful service. Very competitive price for park/ time of year. Would definitely recommend.

Owner's booking terms

Arrival time - 4.00pm - Depart no later than 10.30am.

£50 non-refundable deposit required at time of booking to secure dates. No dates will be reserved without a deposit. this deposit will also act as a security deposit during your stay. Full payment of the booking cost is required 4 weeks before arrival date. bookings within 4 weeks of break are to be paid in full with the deposit. Booking Deposits are Non refundable.

when you arrive for your break, the Booking deposit then becomes a security deposit, incase of damage / Breakages. this is returnable within 7 days after your sty, once the cleaners have checked the caravan following your departure, and confirmed with the owner that all is ok.

If you cancel your holiday you will only receive half of what you have paid if the time period is more than 6 weeks from date of arrival (less deposit). No refunds will be given if the holiday is cancelled within 6 weeks of the date of arrival.
