Description

Description

Our caravan is a lovely 2 bedroom, 6 berth van with central heating and double glazing. It is situated at the top of the John Fowler, Widemouth Bay Park, with views of the countryside and a sea view from one of the windows, the field facing the large picture window is, sometimes, visited by a stag. There is parking nearby.

The van has a double bedroom with a door into the caravan’s toilet/shower room and, unusually, a walk-in wardrobe. There is a twin bedroom and a pull out bed in the living area. The living area has a TV and DVD player and a selection of books. The kitchen is well equipped with a toaster, kettle, microwave, full size cooker and a fridge. There are sufficient place settings for 6 people. There is a gated decking area and an outside locked storage box which holds a table and chairs, feel free to use the body boards along with the buckets and spades also in there.
We have purchased an Anti-Viral fogging machine, so that the caravan can be 'fogged' before each let, keeping our guests safe.

Site amenities include a recently refurbished clubhouse, take away, bar, Foxy kids club, kid’s bingo, amusements and pool tables, next gen games den, with free Wi-Fi in the clubhouse, indoor heated swimming pool (currently closed as per Covid instructions) with aqua gliders and water walkers, 2020 they have updated the changing rooms. Outside there are crazy golf and kids play area. There is also a shop and a launderette.

Widemouth Bay is a short walk away and an even shorter drive. The town of Bude is approx 3 miles from the site and here you will find shops and a supermarket, it is a great place to visit, you can even take a self drive boat along the canal. Situated on the North Cornish coast you are within easy reach of North Devon as well and places like Clovelly, Bideford and Barnstaple are not too far away. There are many historical (Tintagel), places of interest and family attractions to see within easy reach including Boscastle, Port Isaac (Doc Martin location), Padstow (Rick Stein), Newquay, the Camel Vineyard, the Big Sheep, the Milky Way, Old MacDonald’s Farm and about an hour away is the famous Eden Project. Slightly further and there’s Mevagissey, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Fowey, Looe and many other places.

Gas, electricity, and site passes are included in the price.
*Same sex groups refer to stag and hen parties as, in the park rules, these are not allowed, same sex couples and their families are, of course, welcome.

Family With Young Children

Date of stay - 9 Mar 2019 - 16 Mar 2019

We’ve just returned from a fantastic holiday in Rosie and John’s caravan. Rosie’s communication before the holiday even started was fantastic. She answered all my questions, even the silly ones! It was lovely to be greeted by Rosie and John on arrival. The caravan was spotless. They made up the beds for us (the linen smelt so fresh) and left all the essentials which was a nice touch. The caravan is very spacious. The bedrooms have plenty of space and the master room wardrobe is huge so you won’t be tripping over your suitcases! The kitchen has everything you need even some child friendly cups, bowls and cutlery which is a nice touch. The bathroom is surprisingly spacious and the shower is huge! The dining, lounge area is also very spacious. Plenty of space for baby and toddler toys, bouncer etc... Oh and the view from the caravan is lovely. The site itself is lovely. The laundrette is really handy especially when you have mucky little ones with you! The little park is fantastic for little ones, our three year old loved it. They have some lovely entertainers for the kids club and family entertainment for the evening with activities for the children and parents combined. We really did have a fantastic week for our first family holiday. We didn’t have great weather but there’s so much to do that it didn’t hold us back. It was lovely to see Rosie and John before we left. They really are lovely people and we can’t wait to have another stay in their caravan soon.

Thank you for your lovely review Kristina, it was lovely meeting you all and thank you for leaving the caravan lovely and clean. We’re glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you all again. Take care Rosie and John

Date of stay - 4 Aug 2018 - 11 Aug 2018

Many thanks to Rosie and John for the hire of their caravan. The whole experience from the moment of submitting my enquiry to the moment we left the caravan was exceptional. Rosie answered every question I had about the caravan very promptly by email. It was lovely to be met personally by Rosie and John and to have the beds made up for us. All the little extras like milk, tea, coffee, tea towels, washing up liquid and toilet rolls to name a few we were so grateful for. The caravan itself had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and was very clean, tidy and spacious. It was also lovely to be met by Rosie on our departure for a nice personal touch that you don't get when booking through companies. I would highly recommend this caravan.

Thank you Katie, it was lovely to meet you and your family. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and we hope to see you again. Take care Rosie & John
