Hafan y Mor is a beautifully landscaped park, with two lakes teeming with wildlife, woodland walks and spectacular sea views. Set on a clifftop overlooking a rocky beach which has broad swathes of sand at low tide, ideal for games of football and cricket, and crabbing in the rock pools. The clifftop walk takes you to a small sandy cove, and then continues over the headland to Pwllheli, 4 miles away. For the golfers, the new 9 hole golf course sited on the park is now open.
Our caravan is a modern Willerby Winchester, graded as Platinum. The van is sited on Waterside, a premium area of the Hafan Y Mor site, adjacent to the beach and clifftop, and is very quiet and peaceful.
It has patio doors opening onto the front decking, which is furnished with reclining chairs and small table, and is very private. Being south facing and sheltered on two sides by shrubbery, it is a real suntrap.
There is a separate patio area, furnished with a large pub style rustic picnic table, which is ideal for alfresco dining or barbecues. Car parking is adjacent to the van .
A selection of games,CD's and DVD's are also provided for your enjoyment.
The main entertainment centre at Hafan y Mor is approximately ten minutes walk away, but there is a convenience store and a new complex featuring The Coast House Bar and Grill,The Cakery,The Pizza Deck and the HMS Glendower Pub.Also in this area you will find The Dragon Lakes Adventure Village with Aerial Adventure and Boat Hire less than five minutes walk away. The site benefits from many beautiful walks, including a walk along the clifftops to Pwllheli, and has its own beach which at low tide contains many rock pools. There is another sandy cove around the headland (reached via the cliff path). You may be lucky enough to see Dolphins leaping and Grey Seals on the rocks. There are stunning beaches at Pwllheli, Abererch, Criccieth, Porthmadog (Black Rock Sands), etc.Our favourite beach is a short drive away at Morfa Nefyn where you have the Ty Coch Inn pub on the beach and on a nice day you could think that you are abroad!!
I have provided a folder in the caravan with suggestions for days out if you wish (including Caernarfon Castle, Portmeirion, Criccieth Castle, etc.) There are supermarkets in Pwllheli and Porthmadog, and there is a regular bus service from the site to both towns.
And if you want to explore further afield, Snowdonia is on your doorstep!
