Beautiful caravan and very spacious, alot of thought has gone into a traveller's needs. Fresh milk, tea and coffee were awaiting our arrival as well as treats for our dog. Just a 2 minute walk to the beach and lake where our daughter had a great time with her fishing net and kite. We had a fantastic time at the Mallards and hope to return next year.

What a lovely, lovely place to be. Everything you need and more is provided. Fab to have the essentials to make a hot drink and a biscuit on arrival. Even our furry friend was catered for with treats already in the dog treats box. Plenty of games in the cupboard and a range of DVD's available too. The photos dont do the caravan justice. The open plan kitchen, diner, living room is a huge space for a caravan, as is the master bedroom. Plush towels, spare bed and bedding provided. The situation of the caravan is fabulous. 123 steps from door to lake side (I counted!). Just a 2 minute walk to the beach too. Check for the tide times to enjoy a paddle. Lots of local info provided with things to do locally. If you want to eat at Herdwicks booking is essential. (We didnt and missed out.) Went to The Plough instead and enjoyed a hearty meal in a dog friendly pub. Sue is on hand if you need her and quick to respond to emails. We had a fantastic time at The Mallards and will definitely return.

From the moment I made the initial enquiry the owners could not have been more helpful. They were always on hand if we needed them and provided us with some great recommendations. The caravan was by far one of the nicest, most comfortable, well equipped and cleanest caravans I have ever stayed in - and we have stayed in many. The caravan is very tasteful and spacious. The beds were so comfortable and cosy with the fluffiest of towels. Everything is there that you could possibly need and more, the owners have thought of everything to make your stay the best. Buddy our dog found the tin of treats within seconds of arriving! Very secure decked area which is great if you have a dog. The caravan is in an ideal, peaceful location and a great base to come home to after exploring the Lake District. We will definately return to this little treasure. Thanks once again Sue & Mike xx

Dear Michelle thank you so much for your lovely review, we greatly appreciate your positive feedback. We have tried very hard to make the 'Mallards experience' a great one for all of our guests, including our furry friends so its good to know we are getting it right. We look forward to welcoming you, your family and Buddy back soon. Best wishes from Sue and Mike
