There is an additional flat, sandy and tranquil beach that stretches for miles with amazing grassy dunes, it is perfect for grown ups, kids, and dogs alike for running about, building sandcastles, beach combing, or just taking a relaxing stroll. Remember to check the tide times and enjoy the lovely views out to the Irish sea.

The RSPB Nature Reserve is on the doorstep of the Marina Village and overlooks the Duddon Estuary. It is a wildlife haven attracting birds such as breeding terns, ringed plovers, sandwarblers, red shanks and oystercatchers. In a peaceful and calm setting with rare plants, everything is as nature intended with a public hide open all day with free access, if you are lucky you may even spot a seal or two.

Coniston Water with the magnificent 'Old Man' is just 35 minutes away, and within 45 minutes you can be on the shores of Lake Windermere. Heading northwards around 25 minutes away is the 13th century Muncaster Castle.
