Family With Older Children

Date of stay - 4 Jul 2020 - 11 Jul 2020

We have just returned from a weeks stay in this lovely lodge . I booked it last year due to it having 2 shower rooms & one with a bath & added bonus of a dishwasher . Due to Covid we weren’t sure whether we would be allowed to go & Roger the owner didn’t invoice us until he was sure we were able to visit . He kept us up to date at all times about changes on the site & checked in with us to make sure everything was good . Wanted to book for next year but sadly is already fully booked .

We stayed at this lodge for a week before the main Easter week, as a family of 2 adults and 2 teenage boys, 14 and 15. The owner, Roger, was always quick to reply to any queries I had during the booking process and leading up to the actual holiday. I absolutely could not fault the customer service that he provided. The lodge is every bit as good as the pictures show, maybe even a little better. The deck is large and goes along the side and around the end of the lodge. The deck catches the sun along the side in the mornings and at the larger area in the afternoon and early evening. There is a choice of seating that you can use outside. The doors onto the decking are sliding doors so no more doors swinging freely in the wind. You can open them as much or as little as you like. Inside there really is everything you would need, including speakers in the ceiling that you can bluetooth your favourite music to! We were more than happy with the facilities and the standard of cleanliness. The welcome gift of a bottle of wine and a pack of cookies put a smile on all of our faces when we walked in. There is a large walk in wardrobe/ dressing room to the main bedroom with the most storage space I have ever come across in a caravan or a lodge, and we have holidayed in a lot of caravans and lodges over the years. The additional second shower was very welcome, what with having 2 teenagers. All in all, this is a really lovely lodge, set in a fairly quiet part of the park, not on the main drag, and it is easy to walk to the main park facilities as there are no slopes to walk up, or down. We have booked another week in the main summer holidays and we are all thoroughly looking forward to it. I heartily recommend this lodge to anyone.
