Owner Description

Our Swift Bordeaux Exclusive 3 bedroom caravan stands on a spacious plot in a small cul-de-sac of just 11 holiday homes set around a circular cherry tree and hedgerow garden, which is an ideal place for young children to play while you watch from the decking verandah.

The caravan has double glazed windows and doors and gas central heating to keep you warm and cosy on those spring and autumn evenings. The three bedrooms comprise a master with a comfy double bed, plenty of wardrobe and cupboard storage, including a built-in dressing table and mirror and an en-suite W.C. The two twin rooms also include wardrobes and mirrors and the shower room offers a W.C, a hand basin with a mirrored cabinet above and a comfortable shower cubicle. In addition there is a fitted shaving point and light. The kitchen has a full size fridge freezer, a gas oven and a microwave and the dining table is free standing so can be moved to suit. The lounge area has a 40 inch TV with Freeview channels and an integral DVD player. The sofa folds out into an additional bed if you need to sleep eight. Outside there is an adjacent tarmac drive and as the cul-de-sac is circular there is plenty of space between the caravans making a nice open environment.

The Wild Duck is a unique experience in that it is Haven's only woodland park, offering a number of on park walks, including one with a large children's tree house. It's a quieter and more tranquil getaway than many holiday parks offer. Nonetheless you can find all the usual facilities and attractions you might expect, including both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, two modern play areas for children, a football and basketball court, kid's club and the entertainment complex where there is a pub restaurant, amusement arcade and the live lounge which offers nightly entertainment. There is an on-site shop and fish and chip takeaway and the park staff are always happy to help with any questions. The Wild Duck also offers a number of activities for both children and adults at an additional charge.

The traditional seaside of resort of Great Yarmouth is only seven miles away with all you might expect, including a pier, live shows and a pleasure beach fairground but also one of Britain's best sandy beaches. Norwich, around forty minutes' drive is worth a visit, as are a number of themed local attractions in Norfolk. The Wild Duck really is a lovely destination, where you can make your stay as quiet and relaxed or as activity packed as you wish.

Thanks for taking the time to read about our Wild Duck home-from-home.

Guest Comments

My daughter and I stayed over for a bank holiday. Having never been to the Wild Duck before we were a little unsure of what to expect by way of facilities etc.. we enjoyed our stay here so much we will be back, the site and facilities are fab! The caravan was beautifully presented and immaculate, way more spacious than I could have imagined and all the conveniences you have at home can be found here, it is clearly very well looked after by the owners who are just lovely and easy to deal with. We certainly will be back. My daughter didn't want to leave!

Guest Comments

We hadn't stayed in a caravan before and weren't sure what to expect. We needn't have worried, this caravan is lovely, it's like being at home, lovely and warm with proper kitchen facilities. I'm 6'4" so had a concern about the bed but it was really comfortable. I would recommend a caravan like this with decking as we loved sitting out the front on it in the sunshine. Jacky is lovely, really easy to deal with.
