Description

Description

The parks location offers the best of both worlds, when you turn left at the park exit onto the A498 in less than 30 minutes drive you can be in the centre of the Snowdonia National Park and all it has to offer, passing through the lovely historic village of Beddgelert on the way. Turn right at the park exit onto the A498 and within 30 minutes drive you can be visiting the glorious sandy beaches and historic towns and villages of Cardigan Bay. Porthmadog is less than 10 minutes drive providing all amenities for your stay, including Tesco, Aldi and Lidl supermarkets, bustling high street with an array shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs and takeaways. Leisure strolls by the harbour and estuary. The mainline station situated just a short walk to the high street. Booking office, with all the information needed for rides on the much loved Welsh Highland Railway line. A short drive away and well worth a visit, located on the estuary is the unique Italianate village of Port Merion, location for the TV series The Prisoner.
Tremadog village is just a few minutes away by car, with village shop, pubs, restaurant and a very good Fish & Chip shop takeaway with varied menu selection.

Less than 1/2 a mile away from the park is the Glaslyn Osprey project and sanctuary, a charity with a wonderful dedicated and informative team of
volunteers who follow these beautiful birds of prey from their African migration to when they arrive in the spring and monitor them throughout the breeding season, with live video cams on their nest logging details from the hatch to when the chicks fledge ready for their migration back to Africa in the autumn, well worth a visit. There is a large car park available, alongside the train stop for the Welsh Highland Train to and from Caernarfon.

Family With Older Children

Date of stay - 28 Aug 2019 - 2 Sep 2019

We were lucky to get a last min booking for this caravan.. and how lucky we were. Great communication with Mike, easy to book. Friendly and very helpful all of the time. The park is simply beautiful and perfectly located for so many locations and beaches. The van is immaculate and a home from home. Very comfy and perfect outside set up for nice evenings with outdoor eating. Could not have hoped for a better end of summer holiday and without a doubt will return. This is a little gem and highly recommended. Book if you can and you wont be dissapointed!!!! Mike - thank you so much, Gill, Steve, Kirsten and Trevor x
