Had a fantastic week in Linda’s caravan. She was there when we arrived bringing some extra bits with her to help us out. Lovely lovely lady nothing was too much trouble. Linda even gave a follow up phone call after the holiday to check everything had been ok. Wonderful caravan, excellent position. We will be returning again.

We had a wonderful time in Challaborough Bay. The owner Linda was so lovely, she met us at the caravan with buckets and spades for the kids, a beautiful little jar each to collect the sand from their favourite beach and a picture frame to keep our memories in. She even rang before we came to find out our favourite tea bags and she'd put milk, wine and juice in the fridge! Linda was there on the end of the phone throughout the holiday in case we had any questions. The caravan was well stocked, with all the utensils, crockery and cooking equipment you'd expect, as well as cleaning products, bin bags, fresh towels and nicely made beds. The caravan was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and had lots of space to store our clothes and games. The terrace on the outside had a nice table and chairs so we were able to eat outdoors, bliss! The beach is a 5 minute walk (if that!) and had wonderful rock pools to explore and sand to bury your feet in! Although we didn't have the weather we braved the sea and there were wetsuits and body boards available to buy or hire. We had some lovely days out at Dartmoor Zoo, Woodlands Theme Park and Salcombe boat hire. We had a beautiful meal at the Village Inn, Thurlestone Hotel. Linda kindly gave us entertainment passes which we used to play linked bingo, kids quizzes and disco in the evening - lots of fun! We've never stayed at a holiday park before but we'd definitely return. We've never met a nicer owner, thank you Linda.

What a fabulous holiday. Everything you could possibly need was in the caravan. it’s spotlessly clean, very comfortable, in fact we all said they were the most comfiest beds we have had in a caravan. The caravan had view of the sea, close to the facilities such as the swimming pool which was handy as you need to change in the van due to COVID measures. Easy walking distance to the beach. Linda who owns the caravan did a amazing job, cleanest caravan we have ever stayed in, we have already tried to see if there was availability in the summer . Lovely lady and very kind to us made my birthday very special by leaving various goodies for us and the children. We couldn’t of asked for more and if we can’t book this summer we will definitely be back next year. Andrew & Helen

Wow! What a little gem of a place. Linda has gone the extra mile to make this place home from home. Everything you could possibly need is there, it’s spotlessly clean, comfortable and toasty warm. Linda’s communication is great, answering any queries or questions and advice on places to walk. Linda went over and above adding extras on our arrival which were more than welcome after our travels. In these uncertain times Linda’s effort to make this place as safe as possible for everyone was very appreciated and I have no problem giving this place 10/10 ,it’s close to all the site amenities and you can see the sea from the window. Great holiday, even the rain didn’t dampen our days away and we hope to return next year, fingers crossed, perfect week away.

Wonderful caravan, view of the sea, not far from facilities. Linda who owns the caravan did a amazing job, cleanest caravan we have ever stayed in. Everything we needed in the caravan felt very lucky to have found this caravan and owner, and will stay again. Had a wonderful week in Challaborough, the weather was fab. The caravan was well kitted out with everything we could possibly need. Very nice decking area with table and chairs for al fresco dining. Very close to the beach. Thank you Linda for a very enjoyable stay.

A lovely caravan with a beach hut vibe to it. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We were given all the essentials needed on our arrival and the owner even left a bottle of wine which was very welcome. It is close to the beach and all the amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and was even blessed with good weather. The only downside was that if you want to eat out be sure to book anywhere in advance due to current covid restrictions. We didn't and were disappointed when we couldn't get in anywhere local and there are some great fish restaurants about which we just couldn't eat at. That said, you don't have to book on site. I would stay here again and would reccomend this lovely caravan and its lovely lady owner for whom nothing was too much trouble.

Caravan was very clean and well equipped. The site is located next to the beach and the caravan was close to all the amenities which makes it ideal for families with young children. The only downside was the later check in (5pm). Would visit this caravan and site again.

in this present climate I am intense of making sure everything is as sterile .. I want all my guests to feel safe and reassured with a welcoming bottle of wine incl extras included to allow time for fun, relaxation in the knowledge I do allow a later departure time it was a pleasure meeting up .. You are a lovely family and next year I'm sure will be much better Noted about entry time thank you for your feedback glad you had a wonderful time and found the caravan very well equipped xx

Lovely caravan, has everything that you would need. Including iron/ironing board. Hairdryer. Decking area with seats. A clothes rotary airer has recently been put up outside. Linda also left us a bottle of wine, tea, coffee, sugar and milk. A bottle of pop for the children. There was also hand sanitiser and wipes. Beds were made up on arrival and towels were also provided. We had good communication with Linda, calls and messages always answered. We had a great time and would definitely stay again.

Challaborough Bay Lovely stay in Linda’s caravan, clean up to date and very comfortable. On arrival Linda had provided us with the basics milk, coffee, tea, sugar even specialty teas and a variety of condiments. She also left us 2 bottles of ice cold wine in the fridge, which went down so well on those hot hot days! Wouldn’t hesitate to book again with Linda. Good communication, replied to my messages when she could and returned all my calls! Myself and all my family know Bigbury-on-sea very well and always enjoy our stay, the caravan and Linda’s little touches made it a perfect holiday!!

We had a lovely time staying in this caravan at Challaborough Bay, the caravan is well situated a short distance for the swimming pool with sea views from the front windows. The caravan is well equipped with everything that you need for cooking, eating, cleaning etc. there is even a hairdryer and an iron/ironing board. The owner left us a welcome pack with everything you need to get you started including tea, coffee, milk etc. and even bottles of wine that we highly appreciated. We had booked to stay earlier in May but were prevented from visiting due to the lock-down and re-arranged for the earliest opportunity in July as Covid restrictions eased, the owner was very helpful and even supplied hand sanitiser for use during our stay. We did not see the need to leave the site using the car after arrival as there is everything you need on your doorstep for a beach holiday (you can even book a slot with Morrisons or Tescos to have your shopping delivered using their standard delivery services). We had a brilliant time walking, climbing on the rocks, swimming, kayaking (kayaks available to hire on site), body boarding etc. We walked or kayaked to the neighbouring bays and visited Burgh Island (and the Pilchard Inn) most days or walked the other way to the secluded bay of Aymer Cove just over the headland. The swimming pool opened (as Covid restrictions allowed) the day we were leaving but honestly we did not miss using it as the weather was so good. This 'South Hams' area of the country is beautiful with many other places to visit locally, including Salcombe, Kingsbridge and Dartmouth. This caravan was perfect for us as my daughters 12 and 14 could have a room each. The caravan can accommodate larger families as the main bedroom has a double bed and the two other bedrooms have twin single beds. We had an excellent stay and would highly recommend Challaborough and this Caravan.
