Owner Description

Owls Den is a 14ft wide by 42ft long contemporary holiday home located off the prestigious New Road at Kelling Heath. On a very sunny and fully fenced plot it provides access into the woods opposite and is not overlooked by any other caravans. Being slightly away from the main village centre and touring park, it is very quiet and peaceful. The caravan comprises of lounge, which has two arm chairs ,sofa bed settee and flame effect electric fire, kitchen/diner, a double bedroom with ensuite bath/shower, twin bedroom with fitted robes, walk in wardrobe and separate shower/bath room. The kitchen features a gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, seperate oven/grill, toaster and comes complete with all necessary crockery and utensils for cooking. There is also a useful island unit.There is a TV with freesat and DVD player. We also have a selection of books/games/DVDs. Gas and electric is included in the cost of hire. We are happy to accept your well behaved pooch on holiday but have to limit the numbers to two small/medium sized dogs. The park restricts certain breeds of dog so please enquire at the time of booking. The compound is fenced to 1metre so dogs can roam on the plot off the lead, however Kelling Heath insist all dogs are kept on the lead everywhere on the 300 acre site. Please keep the plot free from dog mess (scoop provided). We would ask that dogs do not go on the furniture or enter the bedrooms.

We provide all bed linen, kitchen tea cloths and cleaning materials, plus tea, coffee and sugar. Please bring your own towels and a torch.

There is room for one car to be parked within the fenced area, however there is plenty of parking available at the front of the caravan.

Subject to availabilty we can offer short breaks (min 2 nights). Please enquire for more information and pricing. Please note that single sex groups on hen or stag parties cannot be accomodated due to Park rules. We also limit the number of occupants to 4.

  • Additional Info: Kelling Heath Holiday Park is set in approx 300 acres of forest and heathland. It is also a designated "Dark Sky Area" which makes star gazing a dream. The park has won numerous awards over the years for conservation and is home to a Red Squirel breeding programme. The Park has on -site restaraunts and bars, a shop, bike hire, an outdoor swimming pool, several childrens play areas and adventure play grounds and hosts many activities for both adults and children alike. There is also an on-site leisure complex which comprises of an indoor swimming pool and well equipped gym. Our guests can take up a 2 for 1 membership offer which applies during their stay. There are some time restrictions on child access to the indoor swimming pool, which should be checked. Just off site is the Weybourne station where steam trains can be taken to Sheringham and Holt - or its just a great place to sit and watch the trains. There are also miles of tracks for walking or just taking an evening stroll.

Owls Den is a perfect holiday home in a gorgeous setting ideal for walking, biking or just chilling! It is a brilliant base for exploring the local area - we loved the choice of fabulous clean beaches for the children and so much to do around the park and in the near vicinity. The caravan itself was a lovely surprise as not only was it in a wonderful spot ( we kept saying best plot in the park) it was exceptionally clean and so well equipped making it a real home from home. We have already booked our next visit! I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

We fell in love with Kelling Heath over 10 years ago and have been regular visitors ever since. We have stayed in many holiday homes during this time and I have to say that Owls Den is our favourite so far. We found the owners extremely helpful and their home is top class- spotlessly clean, well equipped, comfortable and in a great location. We're looking forward to another visit in the spring.

My partner and I had a week in this lodge just before the birth of our first child. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. Very clean, modern and stylish. A real home from home, with everything we needed to cook meals, BBQ and chill out. There are lots of walks around the site and nearby. The beach at Weybourne, Sheringham Park, the historic Weybourne station (steam trains) etc are all accessible by foot, and there are plenty of bike routes too. There are some great pubs nearby for food, and the local town of Holt is really lovely to wander around. The site has a programme of entertainment in the peak season with live music, nature walks and a children's entertainer so we definitely plan to go back with our son for another holiday. Also, the on-site pool and gym were really nice - particularly the steam room! - set in amongst the trees so you really felt like you were away from it all. Highly recommend!
