This Pathfinder Acorn Lodge [40x12 feet] at Oakcliff Holiday Park in Dawlish Warren, Devon is open plan with a parking space beside it and a large enclosed decking area. From the decking you can look out to sea and over to Exmouth. Oakcliff is a quiet site with a mixture of privately owned and park owned lodges and caravans. This luxury lodge is situated in the Paddocks area of Oakcliff and has gas central heating and double glazing.
The kitchen comes fully-equipped with a gas hob, electric oven, microwave oven, dishwasher [tablets not included], kettle, toaster, a small filter coffee machine and a full sized fridge/freezer. The dining area consists of a table with four chairs to one side of the kitchen. The open plan lounge has an electric fire, two seater sofa with two armchairs. The TV is a wall mounted 42” TV with a blu-ray DVD player. The CD player has WiFi speakers. There’s a selection of novels, DVD’s and games for your use. Patio doors from the lounge lead onto the large decking area with two tables and six chairs.
The master bedroom has a double bed and a wall mounted flat screen TV combi DVD player with a wardrobe and dressing table. The second bedroom is twin bedded with wardrobe and drawers. It also has a wall mounted flat screen TV combi DVD player. The family bathroom has a toilet, basin and shower unit over the bath. All bedding, towels and tea towels are included. Electric and gas are also included in the price. This is a Pet Free lodge and smoking is Not permitted in the lodge at any time. The lodge is available to rent on a weekly basis all year round from Saturday to Saturday. Arrival times are from 3p.m. and departure is by 10a.m.
A non-refundable deposit of £100 is required when booking in advance, with full payment no later than 6 weeks prior to the arrival date. Any bookings within 6 weeks of the date requires payment in full at the time of booking. In addition, a security booking of £50 is required as insurance to cover any loss or damage. Oakcliff Holiday Park is easily accessed by car, train or bus. Dawlish Warren is located at the mouth of the Exe Estuary about 2 miles from the centre of Dawlish with its famous black swans. Dawlish Warren Train Station is about 300 yards from the holiday park, whilst the local buses stop, almost outside the gate.
On Oakcliff Holiday Park there is a launderette, an outdoor pool [open throughout the peak season] and a children’s play park which includes climbing frames, slides and swings that is open all year round. All the main facilities are located about half a mile down the road at the sister site of Lady’s Mile, consisting of entertainment, a takeaway and club house/restaurant, a gym, sauna, heated indoor swimming pool and outdoor swimming pool, a hairdressers, an adventure playground, bowling alley and amusement arcade. Four armbands come with the lodge for these facilities. (These cost £50 to replace if lost.) Within Dawlish Warren, all within a short walking distance of Oakcliff Holiday Park, there are numerous Pubs and Restaurants, Takeaways, a Supermarket, Shops including a Chemist, Amusements, Adventure Golf and Go-Karting [seasonal].
Places to visit nearby include Exeter, Exmouth, Teignmouth, Paignton Zoo, Torquay and Babbacombe. You could also take the train from Dawlish Warren to Paignton and catch the steam train to Kingswear and go across to Dartmouth where you could take a cruise up the River Dart to Totnes.
