Booking Conditions & Terms of Letting To Be Retained By Hirer
Contract
The Contract for a short-term holiday rental shall be made between the Client and Mr/Mrs Knowles (hereby known as the owners). The Contract shall be governed by UK Law. It will be entered into when the deposit is processed by the owners who will issue the confirmation letter. The Contract will be subject to all the following booking conditions.
Payment
A deposit of £50 of the rental fee is payable if the booking is made more than 28 days before the commencement of the rental. Non-payment of the balance of the rental on or before the due date shall be construed as a cancellation of the contract by the Client. For bookings made less than 28 days before the commencement of the rental the total rental fee is payable on booking. All payments shall be made to the address at the bottom of the Booking Form.
Cancellation
Any cancellation made by the Client for whatever reason shall be by phone and in writing. If the booking is cancelled within 56 days of the arrival date, the entire deposit fee will be forfeit.
Deposits, Cancellations and Transfers
A deposit of £50 of the booking fee is payable at the time of the booking, the balance being due four weeks before the arrival date. Should we not receive the balance by the due date then we will attempt to contact the guest using the contact details with which we have been supplied, but it nonetheless remains the guest’s responsibility to ensure the balance is paid on time. If we have still not received the balance 5 days after the due date, then the booking will be deemed to have been cancelled, the deposit will be forfeit and we will be free to rebook the property.
VAT
No VAT is applicable.
Period of Hire
Rentals commence, unless otherwise notified, at 2 p.m. on the day of arrival and terminate at 10 a.m. on the day of departure.
Number of Persons in the Property
The number of persons occupying the property must not exceed the maximum number stipulated. We the owners reserve the right to refuse entry to the entire party if this condition is not observed.
Complaints
Should there be any cause for complaint during the occupation of the property, We the owners should be notified of any problem by means of a phone call then later be confirmed in writing. The hirer is responsible for any members of his party, any complaints by nearby residents may be deemed in breach of contract and the holiday may be terminated by the owners at any time due to this.
Care of the Property
The Client shall take all reasonable and proper care of the property and its furniture, pictures, fittings and effects in or on the property and leave them in the same state of repair and in the same clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period as at the beginning.
Liability
We the owners, its employees and agents do not accept third party liability in respect of breach of contract, negligence, misrepresentation or otherwise.
Right of Entry
We the owners shall be allowed the right of entry to the property at all reasonable times for purposes of inspection or to carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance.
Children
Guests must accept responsibility for the safety of their children. We the owners advise the guardians of children to make themselves aware of any hazards in or around the accommodation at the start of the stay.
Terms are per week or part week, the caravan will be equipped for Correct caravan berth size. The time for you to take over is 2pm (subject to unavoidable delays) if you arrive before 2pm we cannot guarantee your accommodation is up to the required standard (the time between 10am & 2pm is needed to check all accommodation and action any repairs etc., if you do take over the accommodation before 2pm we cannot be held responsible for the condition of the caravans. You must leave the accommodation by 10am and you are expected to leave everything clean and tidy.
Booking Deposit. This is a reservation fee to be enclosed with your completed booking form. The deposit is £50.00 per booking initial payment. This deposit is a booking fee and none refundable.
Breakages Deposit. There is a breakages deposit fee of £50.00 which is payable at least 28
clear days before your holiday begins. This is to cover any damage caused to the caravan & or
fixtures / fittings by any persons in your party during your stay. If any damage caused by any
persons in your party during your stay exceeds £50.00 the person booking your stay will be
liable for any further costs incurred by the owners. After the end of stay inspection being
satisfactory the £50.00 deposit will be refunded to the person booking the stay within 7 clear
days.
In the event of loss of keys for the caravan during your stay, the person booking the stay will be liable for the full cost of replacement of all locks and keys by a qualified locksmith.
Balance of Hire Money. The balance is payable at least 28 clear days before your holiday begins. A receipt will be sent to acknowledge your deposit, this will show the balance to send 28 days before your holiday, no further invoice will be sent.
We Guarantee the price of your holiday at the time of booking, there will be no surcharges added, cheques are not accepted.
Booking Restrictions. We regret that bookings from all MALE or all FEMALE parties cannot be accepted (without prior consent of the owners).
Availability. The booking is made on the understanding that the property will be placed at your disposal on the date stated. Should this not be possible through circumstances not under the control of the owner (e.g. fire, theft or damage) we cannot guarantee to provide an alternative property in which case all monies paid shall be returned in full, but the hirer shall have no further claim against the owners.
The owners shall not be liable for the death of, or injury to any person on holiday in, or visiting the holiday accommodation, or for any loss of, or damage to the property of any such person, howsoever any such death, injury, loss or damage may be caused.
Booking Form. All Persons in your party (including all children and infants) must be entered on the booking form.
Pets are not allowed in the accommodation unless agreed with the owners beforehand.
Car Parking at the accommodation is at the owners risk.
Cancellation Plan. If you have to cancel before the start of your holiday the first and most important thing is to let us know, by phone then by first class letter as soon as possible, enclose your booking receipt, and a stamped addressed envelope if you require a reply. It is to your advantage to give us the earliest warning of a cancellation to enable us to re-let the accommodation.
Once a booking has been made a legal contract exists.
