This is a two bedroom caravan that sleeps six in a lovely quiet spot on the borders of an award winning park. Green Farm Caravan Park is ideally located in a peaceful setting with only a short walk to Scratby's stunning sandy beach (in the top 10 of Visit Norfolk's secret beaches). The owners of Green Farm Caravan Park take great pride in maintaining the park's high standards, having won awards on many occasions for their abundance of flowers and displays. There are other attractive features, including a fountain and a waterfall and a children's play area.
Onsite, there is a reasonably priced convenience store, fish and chip shop and launderette. Tastebuds Tea Rooms is next to the park, as well as Whites Lounge Bar and Moments Restaurant being situated opposite the Park entrance, offering excellent dining options, with outside seating. The popular California Tavern is close by in the resort of California, offering a wide range of food and drinks, live music on Saturday evenings and it also has a lovely beer garden set on the cliffs with a children’s play area. Dutchy's Tavern is also within close walking distance offering bingo and live entertainment.
Oasis swimming pool is based on the site next door offering activity sessions payable locally, as well as entertainment and bingo provided in the Oasis Club,. There is also a takeaway and an excellent budget diner. Entertainment passes can be purchased for the nearby Parkdene Resorts at California Cliffs and Summerfields sites (subject to availability). Both sites have swimming pools and entertainment complexes.
Scratby's excellent sandy beach is within a ten minute walk away and an access ramp to the beach now replaces the steps.
The caravan offers an outside seating area, a fully self contained kitchen, with a double oven, a fridge with freezer compartment, a microwave and more. There is a fully fitted shower room, a double bedroom, with a full size double and another bedroom with two singles. There's a comfortable double sofa bed in the lounge area with TV, freeview player, gas fire, dvd (with a wide selection of dvd's) in the lounge area.
It is a fifteen minute drive to The Broads, with it’s scenic waterways, wildlife and available activities, ie. boat hire, canoeing, etc. The fun and bustle of the popular seaside town of Great Yarmouth is also a short drive away. It is a short walk to the vast sandy beach of Scratby, with a longer coastal walk being reachable in thirty minutes to the traditional seaside town of Hemsby. This busier seaside resort offers a funfair, amusements, an array of food establishments and two Go Karting tracks. One is suitable for younger visitors and the other, Hemsby Karting Centre, is more suited to older teens and adults.
Further on is Horsey Gap beach and probably the best place in Norfolk to see the seals. There are no limits as to how long you can stay on the beach (even without getting too close, you’ll have no trouble getting great views of the seals).
If you are looking for a break in a peaceful setting with all the activities on hand that a family wants from a seaside holiday, then this is the ideal choice.
