Owner Description

In the lounge there are two large, Chesterfield style sofas (one of which conceals a pull-out bed), plus an upholstered storage footstool. There is also a flame effect fire, a 37” LCD Freeview TV and a DVD Player. Other useful accessories include a Blue-tooth sound system and a socket containing a USB port for charging mobile phones etc.

There is no hard partition between the lounge and kitchen/dining area; one sofa is placed to separate the two areas instead and the free-standing dining table and four upholstered chairs sit behind this sofa. This gives the effect of a very large, open-plan space.The kitchen includes an oven with grill which is topped by a five-burner gas hob with central wok burner and an extractor hood vented to the outside. There is also an integrated dishwasher, washing machine and fridge freezer, along with a built-in microwave oven, a huge larder unit and a Corian-style white sink and drainer with a monobloc mixer tap along with plenty of cupboards. It is also equipped with the usual kitchen gadgets, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery, pans, etc.

The master bedroom contains a large king sized bed which will already be made up on your arrival. It has bedside tables equipped with power sockets and USB ports. Above the bed are storage cupboards with integrated reading lights and opposite the bed is a wall mounted 19in LCD Freeview TV. To one side of the bed is a huge vanity and storage unit with a hairdryer supplied for your use, and on the other side of the bed, a door takes you into a walk-in dressing area leading to the en-suite bathroom. The dressing area is fitted with roomy wardrobes, open shelving and drawer storage and a full-length mirror. The en-suite has a domestic sized bath with shower over and a glass screen as well as the usual hand basin and double flush toilet, storage cabinet, shelves and a mirror. There’s also a stainless steel radiator/towel rail.

Two 3ft beds (also made up on arrival) make up the twin bedded room. These have a padded upholstered headboard that goes across both beds with a central bedside table, power sockets and a USB charger port. The over-the-bed unit has cupboards and integrated reading lights. A vanity unit with shelves and a mirror is in the corner plus a large wardrobe with drawers at the bottom.

Inside the shower room is a large shower unit, a hand basin above a cupboard, a mirrored cabinet with shelves and a shaver socket as well as a double flush toilet. There is also a stainless steel radiator that doubles as a towel rail and the gas combi boiler is in a cupboard in the corner. Please be aware that we do not include towels in our prices.

We can also supply free of charge use a travel cot and a high chair. Please note: Bedding is not supplied for the travel cot.

The beach is popular with surfers, as well as being used by horse riders and sailing craft. The Moray Firth is a good place to spot dolphins, as well as the many birds and seals that frequent this area. The proximity of the Gulf Stream ensures that this area of Scotland has some of the mildest and driest weather in the whole of the United Kingdom. This is good walking country, with plenty of trails and footpaths passing close by, including the Moray Coast Trail.

Moray Golf Club is situated next to Silver Sands Holiday Park. The club has two eighteen-hole courses appropriately called the Old Course and the New Course. The club has played host to many championships, both amateur and professional.

Elgin is only 6 miles away from Silver Sands Holiday Park and is nestled in the world-famous whisky region, Elgin lies on the south coast of the Moray Firth roughly midway between Inverness and Aberdeen.

A welcome pack with a site map and leaflets with guides and directions for any local attractions, amenities, restaurants, bars and takeaways will be provided.

Barbequing on the decking area is prohibited
