“We almost don't want to leave a review as we want to keep this little gem to ourselves, but it only seems right to share our experience so that others can have a great time too!”

Host: Christine is great with communication and is contactable should you need her for anything. We received our joining instructions in good time before our holiday and everything was great during our stay so we didn't need to get in touch for anything extra. The site: Honestly, we can't speak highly enough of this lovely little site. It may not suit all families as it is a very quiet site, but for our little family it was perfect! There's no shop on site but there are supermarkets within a 10 minute or so drive so that you can stock up. There is a launderette on site where you can pay to use the washing/drying facilities, irons and ironing boards. There is also a lovely little library where you can swap your books, adorable! The fish and chips van visits twice a week and worth noting it is cash only. The caravan: The plot this caravan sits on is perfect for anyone with small children. Our children were able to ride up and down the little close on their scooters (whilst being aware of any cars coming in). There is also a small grass verge and space to park two cars. The wrap around decking on the caravan is great, and there is plenty of seating available. Upon arrival, the caravan was spotlessly clean with plenty of towels provided for a week's stay. We appreciated the added touch of milk and biscuits, thank you :) The wifi is great and worked a treat, which was useful as the mobile phone signal in the area is poor. Christine has also provided some books and a selection of children's car toys should anyone's little one want to play with them. The kitchen has a fridge with small freezer compartment, a good oven and the added bonus of an air fryer! We actually ate in more on this holiday than any other as the cooking facilities were of a great standard. All in all, we had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday and wouldn't hesitate to return. Thank you Christine! :)

About the location

PENZANCE

St Ives 8 miles. Helicopter to Isles of Scilly - 30 minutes

Penzance hosts Golowan, the Midsummer Carnival, and The Literary Festival. There are also The Exchange, Newlyn and Penlee Art Galleries. One of Cornwall’s most popular holiday areas is the spectacular sweep of Mount’s Bay, from the cliffside fishing village of Mousehole through Penzance and around to beautiful Marazion, the coastline hides a wealth of sandy beaches, rocky coves as well as winding village streets and other places to visit and explore. Connected by a causeway to the shore at Marazion is the National Trust’s stunningly beautiful St Michael’s Mount with its hilltop castle and Mediterranean gardens. Walk across at low water and take one of the ferry boats back when the tide is up. Penzance with its winding streets, shops, clubs, restaurants and harbour is a must as it is the jumping-off point for day trips to the Isles of Scilly as well as being the harbour. The South West Coast Path passing through Penzance winds its way along the clifftops towards Land’s End. On the way, stop off for a coffee and a rest at beautiful Lamorna Cove, explore the open air Minack Theatre and marvel at the cliffs as you approach Gwennap Head. A stunning walk for those seeking solitude, exercise and some of the UK’s best coastal scenery. Penzance is the perfect holiday base. Ideally placed for exploring this land of Celtic myth and legend and with enough to do and see in the immediate area to keep all the family occupied.
