Arrived at the park at check in time only to be told that the owner hadn't sent the booking form to reception so we had to wait for an hour forvthem to get confirmation from the owner.
Finally got in the van and went to use the toilets both seats fell off.
The cleaning wasn't up to standard dirty plates, dirty pans, oven uncleaned with fat in the bottom, dusty greasy utensils, washing up bowl covered in greasy oil, brown and yellow stains on toilets, thick dust on the bedroom shelves, other people's rubbish in the draws.
My 19 year old daughter had a monthly moment on the mattress protector which we removed to find the disgusting mattress with a large brown stain near the pillow and several urine stains all over the mattress.
When we returned home we had a message saying owner has held back £100 from deposit to clean the mattress, we were fuming.
We contacted the owner to sort things out but was only interested in what the cleaner said. Myself and wife both work in holiday accommodation my wife is a 5 star cleaning manager with all 5 star reviews and know mattress protectors do not get changed every change over so who knows how long the stain had been there it looked like it had been there a while.
My advise would be if you book this van make sure you photograph any damage and anything that has not been cleaned properly or you will be charged for someone else's mess as we were.
I am sorry to read your review, especially after I met you and your family during your stay and asked if all was okay, you said yes without any hesitation. However, your booking form was never received, hence why you had to wait at reception until it was confirmed.
With regards to the toilet seats, I can only apologise about this, I believe maintenance came straight to you and sorted them out straight away.
When I have done spot checks of the cleaning, it has always been to a high standard, including mattress protectors.
I believe I am fair with regards to accidents (as they do happen) £80 was returned to you after the cleaner removed the marks, if they had been left from previous guests, they would have been evident on the mattress protector prior to your stay.
The security deposit is taken for exactly this reason, I have to rely on what I am told by the cleaner and I respond accordingly as I am not always there,
