The property

The lakeside caravan has views over Hodbarrow lagoon from the decked area which is fully equipped with tables and chairs for 8 people.

There are solar lanterns, cushions, plastic plates and wine glasses and everything you need to have a relaxing meal and a drink or two.

Numerous blankets are scattered around the caravan that you can use if the evening gets a bit chilly. The caravan is open plan with a lounge area (leading on to the deck), and dining area/kitchen with an extendable dining table.

There are family games, jigsaws and books for all ages.

If you plan an evening walk there are torches available and if it rains umbrellas too.

For a cosy night in you have Netflix and all the usual apps and TV channels and an electric fire.

Private WiFi is provided and works throughout the caravan. The themed children's room (pink hearts or dinosaurs) has indoor and outdoor toys for all ages, with 0 to 3 years old toys kept separate.

There are plug covers and a window opening limiter in the children's room and any low level plugs in the caravan,ñ have covers too.

A table lamp can be dimmed to use as a night light and you can choose the colour you prefer, there are motion sensor lights in the hallway to help find the bathroom. If you fancy a day at the beach or a picnic, there is a picnic blanket, beach towels and buckets, spades, sand toys and a cool box for food and drink and also picnic plates etc. For furry friends there is a dog bed, dog bowls and also toys.

We allow two dogs per booking and there is no extra charge. We have a file filled with information on how everything in the caravan works, general site information and local restaurants/takeaways, things to do for all ages and site facility information. We hope you enjoy your stay and if you need anything call or text, whichever is the most convenient.

The pretty village of Baslow lies at the north end of stately Chatsworth House - home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. The village has many unusual and picturesque features including a triple-arched river bridge guarded by a toll house whose doorway is only 3 1/2 feet high! Baslow offers a range of village amenities including shops, pubs and restaurants. Close by is Bakewell, the capital of the Peak District, and home of the famous Bakewell pudding (definitely not tart!), still made locally to an old and secret recipe. Bakewell is at the scenic heart of the Peak District, and with Alton Towers also within easy touring distance, there is plenty for the whole family to enjoy.
