“I recently stayed in this caravan with my adult Godson and 12-year-old son.”
It was great to put the key into the door and to be met with a lovely clean and pleasant smelling caravan. In particular, it was such a relief to find the beds made up in all 3 of the bedrooms, plus they were presented to an excellent "hotel" standard. As we didn't have the tedious task of making up beds, we literally unloaded our bags, put our food into the fridge, then headed straight out on to the decking to enjoy the glorious sunshine!
The caravan is located in a pleasantly landscaped & quiet cul-de-sac in the Golf Village area of the site. It is only a 5 minute walk to the site's facilities, but far enough away from the hustle & bustle to be able to be noise & crowd free if you are a quieter family like ours. Children can safely ride their bikes/scooters in the cul-de-sac, as it is traffic free, and older kids can safely walk the short distance to meet new friends at the football pitch/arcade etc.
The caravan itself has lovely modern décor and comfortable sofas. The kitchen area is well equipped, plus the owner left us a beautiful "Welcome" hamper with tea/coffee/sugar and some treats, which was a lovely touch. The bedrooms are all big enough and comfortable enough for adults to sleep in, with all of the beds having good quality mattresses. My Godson is in his 20s and had no problems sleeping in one of the twin bedrooms.
The caravan has a huge decking area and comfortable outside seating. If you want to sit out late on a summer's evening, as we often did, there is outside lighting. There is a large grassed area at the side of the caravan where children can play. We often saw rabbits playing on the grassed area. The drive is big enough for two vehicles.
The booking process was straightforward and the owner remained in regular contact prior to our holiday, plus she made contact with us whilst we were there to check that everything was okay and that we were enjoying our holiday. Upon returning home, our security bond was returned to us promptly with no issues.
I have been staying at Haven Lakeland since 2012, often visiting several times each year. I have stayed in approximately 10 different caravans in the Golf Village and The Links areas of the site. I can honestly say that I have never stayed in one as lovely as this one. You certainly won't be disappointed if you book to stay in this caravan! Although we were lucky enough to have glorious sunny weather for the duration of our holiday, I have stayed many times before in Golf Village during rainy weather, but still had a good break. The caravan is well equipped with Netflix and a good Wi-Fi connection, plus the location of the caravan in such pleasant surroundings, means that you are still likely to have a peaceful and pleasant break whatever the weather. I would definitely recommend you booking a holiday at this caravan.
