Just to get that out there.
The address for this accommodation given was no’23. After a discussion with the owners of no’23 to advise they actually owned the van I had to go search for the proper address. It was actually 21. The same 21 that a couple who were in there “cleaning” were either joking about or arguing when I was talking to the owners of 23. The words your a F@?cking knobhead still make me chuckle. If only I had known. Anyway, we eventually get in there I find cobweb's,dirty windows, a specified washing machine that didn’t actually work, same for the specified iron, and pans that required a good hot clean due to the grease on them. Follow that up with the shower in the double bed room being completely blocked and me taking half a day of my holiday to get the blockage cleared as the water in the shower wouldn’t drain explains my level of upset. The lodge needs a good clean, some money spent on it and for the owner to accept responsibility for just using it as a cash cow with no regard to the paying customer. I have photo evidence of all this. Like I said I only deal in truths. Customer comes first, not last in this case. To finish, it was nice to be asked if we would like to extend our stay for another 2 days, but my lack of response should have been a sign.
I'm sorry to hear of your experience
We always ask for any issues to be reported so they can be resolved on the day of arrival. We had no contact regarding any cleaning issues or a shower so they could be managed and fixed. I recognise this should be of a good standard and will be discussed and a meeting with cleaners.
Again we always try to help if we know about anything not right and communicate with guests .
