Can't fault the caravan or owners at all. They were brilliant. Always replied to any queries. Caravan was clean and beautiful. Lots of games and things to use while there. Lovely location for dog walks, swimming and complex. Would definitely stay again. Owner went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and make our holiday special. 5*

“We chose this for the sea view and the ability to take our dog.”

The caravan is slightly dated with lots of wood fixtures and fittings, but is in very good condition throughout. Comfortable bed, good hot shower all the facilities you could want. We found the Haven WiFi to be poor at this location and could not receive a mobile signal either, WiFi was OK in the Haven public areas We found Cathy to be a good communicator and flexible when we rearranged our start date after a change of circumstance at home. We arrived to fresh milk in the fridge, apples in the fruit bowl and biscuits, plus washing up liquid. There was tea, coffee sugar plus tinned goods in the cupboards which we were told we could use. The balcony is really good as it provides a view in the sun and is secure for the dog ( or children ) with no outside access.

It is ideally situated for the main complex as it is within walking distance however is not to close to suffer any disturbance. We will once again be returning next year and would recommend this caravan to anyone. Thanks again Heather x

“This was a beautiful caravan.”

Nice big a spacious with a lovely closed decking Which makes you feel at ease with letting your children play. In a quiet area of the park, Heather is a lovely person to deal with she was very helpful and polite. The caravan park has everything and more to keep your little ones entertained even if you have older children it does. I would definitely recommend this caravan and it was lovely and clean and big it felt very homely too. Thank you for such a lovely clean relaxed stay

“Just back from a week at katakana caravan, heather the owner could not do enough to make our holiday a success.”

It was very child friendly, cots,buggies,beach equipment, towels supplied which is bonus for anyone with limited car space.for the older children plenty of electronic games and board games plus a large library of books suitable all ages. Caravan very roomy and comfortable with a well equips kitchen and is in a nice part of the park, not far from the shop and entertainment. We would not hesitate in recommending it to anyone. The only downside to our week was the weather but we could not blame heather for that. I am sure had it been up to her that would have been perfect as well

“We are regular visitors to the park, this is definitely one of the best caravans we have stayed in.”

The owner met us on arrival, showed us where everything was and even came back later that evening with an extra quilt to be used in the lounge.Nothing was too much trouble.A very well equipped caravan, everything you could possible need. we had a very pleasant stay.It is a bonus that you can view the sea from the balcony.It is in a good position, just far enough away from any noise but a few minutes walk to the facilities.

“This is our second visit to the caravan this year.”

We stayed here in May and can say on both occasions the stays have been great. The caravan is clean and has everything you will need including high chair and push chair should you require one. We were out most days and all resorts are close by. The caravan is situated in a quieter area of the park but only a short walk to the complex. I would recommend staying at this park and this caravan. We will be looking to book again next year.

There is plenty of crockery,utensils and appliances for cooking and eating in.Heather kindly advised regarding the locations of local restaurants and made contact after our arrival to make sure everything was fine for us.The caravan is well situated for on site amenities and the entertainment centre and also for trips out to other nearby resorts.All Our party was very pleased with the caravan and we all had a lovely break especially my mother.Thank you very much and I'm sure we will be back next year...Steve

“Great quiet location and next to private parking space.”

Five mins walk to amenities. Caravan has freeview which kept the kids happy with cbeebies. Very helpful owners and van is kept clean and tidy. Also on a plus, the third bedroom has moveable beds which allowed us to put the cot in so toddler had his own room. Enclosed patio area also allowed the kids to run around and play.

The property

Our Lighthouse caravan is a well loved family holiday home which we'd love you to enjoy too! Sleeping a maximum of 8 people, the caravan has 3 bedrooms (one double, 2 x twin) and a pull out double bed in the lounge if needed.

The caravan is double glazed and centrally heated with a lovely electric fire in the living area. As a lively family of 6 we hope we've included lots of the things that will make your stay easier and more enjoyable, including: a full size fridge/freezer, all the usual kitchen equipment plus a small dishwasher, games, baby bath, travel cot etc, hair dryer, a smart tv, Xbox and games and of course wifi!

We also have some outdoor storage with camping chairs, games and play equipment for the beach and even a festival trolley to help get it all down there!

And for those warm summer evenings (hopefully!) we've got an electric hot plate bbq to be enjoyed on our side veranda.

There's also an integrated section of decking to enjoy the morning sunshine. Entertainment Passes can be purchased from Haven and these give access to the leisure complex, 2 x clubs with nightly entertainment and 3 swimming pools (all heated). There are loads of activities available on-site, including a boating lake, crazy golf, small funfair, go-karts, amusements, bike hire, rock climbing, archery, laser quest, , Aqua-jets and Pool Kayaking, plus an adventure playground and more (all for a small extra charge) as well as a number of eateries and takeaways and of course the arcades Primrose Valley is excellently situated for visiting Filey, Bridlington, Scarborough, Whitby, Heartbeat country etc.

Scarborough 7.7 miles; Bridlington 10.5 miles.

Set in the magnificent Filey Bay, Filey is a traditional English seaside resort with a friendly atmosphere, offering a restful holiday, making it an ideal place to stay for walkers and wildlife watchers at any time of the year. Filey Brigg is a low headland that protects Filey Bay and provides good bird watching and seawatching opportunities all year round. The 400 ft high Bempton Cliffs (RSPB Reserve) to the south of Filey Bay are home to over 250,000 seabirds in the summer. The town itself seems almost caught in a time warp, retaining much of its character with individual shops, narrow paths and ginnels and there is a slipway where local fishermen keep their boats, plus delightful beach chalets that can be hired through the summer months. The bay is edged with two promenades and there are various gardens, where brass bands play on a Sunday afternoon. This small town is family orientated and there are loads of family activities such as Alpamare UK waterpark, Filey Bird Garden and Animal Park and the Filey Dams Nature Reserve, a wetland reserve where all kinds of common and rare birdlife can be seen. A short drive brings you to the busier town of Scarborough where you will find great beaches, a castle, the Rotunda Museum and the acclaimed Sea Life Centre. Other towns worth visiting close to Filey include Bridlington, Whitby, Hornsea and Saltburn, which all demonstrate the vibrancy of this picturesque North Yorkshire region.
