Being a family and dog friendly site it has outstanding views of the open countryside and traffic free walks from your doorstep.

The Tissington Trail can be found just off the main driveway with 13 miles of footpath, cycle way and bridle path with stunning scenery along the way.

There is so much to see and do local to the area for all ages and abilities including Alton Towers Theme Park, park farms, stately homes and various market towns all close by.

The site offers a swimming pool which must be booked via the shop (not open Dec/Jan), additional showers and toilets, children’s play area, a on site shop and a laundrette.

The Tissington Retreat accommodation is a self catered, home from home, we have everything you need for a relaxing stay.

It has a fully fitted kitchen, full size fridge/freezer, gas cooker, microwave, pots, pans, utensils, washing machine and an air fryer.

Accommodating 6 guests with 1 x double room with dressing table, wardrobe and en suite toilet, 2 x twin rooms with 2ft 6” beds and family shower room, perfect for families and couples.

Relax in the lounge area with 2 free standing sofas with cushions and throws.

We have a smart tv, electric fire, music system, WiFi and a selection of board games and books for adults and children.

The pretty village of Fenny Bentley lies 2 miles north of Ashbourne. Life in Fenny Bentley revolves, as it has done for years, around the pub and the church. The Church of St Edmund dates back to the 14th century. Some particular features of the church are its 16th century screens and the alabaster Beresford tomb. The heart of the village is surely the Coach & Horses, a welcoming coaching inn with real ales. Just 2 miles away, the traditional market town of Ashbourne, once a fashionable social centre in the 18th Century, boasts an eccentric street plan, quaint cobbled alleyways, old market stalls and welcoming coaching inns.
