Seton Sands Holiday Park is located near Port Seton in East Lothian, Scotland.
It is approximately 14 miles (23km) or 30 minutes by car and 1 hour by bike or bus from Edinburgh City Centre.
It is a few minutes’ drive or cycle from Longniddry Railway Station.
Edinburgh Airport is 22 miles (36 km) or about 30 or 40 minutes by car and 1.5 to 2 hours by public transport.
The location of this caravan enables guests to indulge in a range of leisure pursuits from relaxing on the patio decking to holiday park activities, local shopping, wining and dining, country and coastal walking or cycling, golf, watersports, boat trips and visits to historic and cultural gems.
The Caravan
This luxury static caravan provides splendid holiday accommodation for up to 6 people for short stays and longer breaks.
It is perfect for a relaxing family holiday or as a base for a more active family break.
The unique semi-secluded lounge layout which separates the kitchen from the living room, makes the holiday home cosy, peaceful and spacious for the whole family to enjoy.
The lounge feels homely, with a warm fireplace, a 42" Samsung TV, coffee table, a freestanding L-shaped sofabed, and a comfy armchair.
Several windows allow for good natural light.
and patio doors lead to the wraparound decking which overlooks a small, sanded children’s play area (just a parent’s call away).
The main decking area (approximately 4m x 2m) holds a 4/5-seater rattan corner sofa and coffee table as well as a 2-seater breakfast table set.
It sees early afternoon and evening sunlight, when available.
The kitchen/dining area comprises a 4-seat dining table, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, gas oven, grill and hob, kettle, toaster, sink and plenty of storage.
All necessary utensils, crockery and cutlery are provided.
It is strategically positioned for visibility of and quick access to all parts of the caravan, decking and beyond.
The master bedroom features a king-size bed with an en-suite toilet.
This bedroom also has a dressing table, over-bed storage, two built-in wardrobes, bedside tables and touch lamps, as well as a 22” wall-mounted tv.
The second bedroom has 2 single beds, overhead storage, bedside table and one built-in wardrobe.
The main shower room/family toilet has a sink unit, significant storage, wall cupboard and heated towel rail.
UK 3-pin electric sockets and USB charger points are located throughout.
The caravan benefits from mains supplied gas central heating and combination water heater, with radiators located in every room.
Accordingly, hot water is available immediately and the accommodation reaches a good internal temperature quickly.
Bed linen is provided and changed on a weekly basis or at the end of stay.
Parking for up to two vehicles is beside the caravan.
The Park and vicinity
Seton Sands Holiday Park presents a wide range of family-friendly and sociable facilities, events and experiences for adults and children alike.
It boasts a considerable wealth of coast and country adult, child and family recreational activities and experiences within easy walking, cycling and driving distances from the park.
The park itself has several children’s play areas and a range of fun, organised activities and classes including: football, swimming, arts and crafts, archery, golf, bungee, climbing and adventure trails.
The park has its own 9-hole golf course, an indoor swimming pool with flumes and evening bar and entertainment facilities as well as Pedal Kart and cycle hire for adults and children.
Play passes and activities should be arranged with the guest services at the park.
A mini-market provides for holiday necessities and the restaurant/bar with outdoor seating area provides good meals and drinks.
A Fish and Chip shop, games arcade and laundromat are also available on-site.
Deliveries can be ordered from most local purveyors but may need to be collected from the security personnel at the main entrance.

Seton Sands beach is just over the main road from the main park entrance, using the pedestrian crossing.
Even at high tide, the beach allows all the marvellous walking, exploring, relaxing etc opportunities of a combined rock and sand beach.
A short (maybe half hour) walk along the beach in one direction leads to the lovely coastal villages of Cockenzie and Port Seton with harbours, shore walking and Cockenzie House and Gardens (Historic House) as well as cafes, bars, restaurants and shops.
The other direction provides to a lovely sanded dune and forest walk (of up to an hour or more) leading to picturesque secluded bays and beaches, where wildlife abounds, and the Gosford Estate and historic house.
A short walk inland (about 15 minutes) from the park leads to some splendid countryside and historic monuments such as Seton Collegiate Church and the site of the Battle of Prestonpans another half hour or more further on.
Further afield
A drive or cycle along the main coastal road leads quickly to the beautiful Aberlady Bay, nature reserve and historic village.
Also, Gullane town, Golf Course and beach, then Dirleton Castle and the lovely coastal town of North Berwick with its unique shopping experience and access to North Berwick Law hill and the Bass Rock Seabird Colony.
North Berwick is about 25 minutes by car and maybe an hour by bicycle.
Continuing along the Coastal Road leads to Tantallon Castle and Dunbar, a further half hour by car and 1 hour by bike.
All along the East Lothian coastal route are fantastic beaches and opportunities to poke inland for a countryside experience.
The East Lothian countryside lays out a magnificent array of historic towns and villages, hills and rivers, museums and monuments within a half hour drive or 1 hour cycle from Seton Sands.
Amongst these are: Haddington, East Linton, Ormiston, Traprain Law, Hailes Castle, Athelstaneford and the River Tyne.
East Lothian hosts a variety of countryside, river and hill walks as well as historic buildings, and unique shopping and dining experiences.
Access from Seton Sands to Edinburgh with its tourism, cultural, historical and modern lifestyle opportunities and indulgences is half an hour or so by car and an hour by bus or bike.
The number 26 bus leaves from the park entrance and has stops in Port Seton, Musselburgh, Portobello, Meadowbank, Edinburgh City centre, Haymarket, Murrayfield and Edinburgh Zoo.
Guest Responsibilities
Entry is after 3pm and exit after 10am but flexibility can be considered.
The owner or their representative will attend on days of entry and exit, where possible and will endeavour to assist with needs and enquiries throughout the stay.
Recommendations and suggestions directly given will be thoroughly appreciated.
Payment in full is required before entry, holiday insurance is recommended.
A refundable damage deposit is required.
Decent respect for the property and park are expected.
Play passes, activities and free wifi availability should be checked with Seton Sands Guest Services.
Early contact is recommended.
No pets are allowed.
No party group (stag/hen etc) bookings are accepted.
Smoking/vaping is only permitted outside the static caravan (e.g.
on decking) and detritus from outdoor activities should be disposed of appropriately..
