“My Sister had booked this caravan on behalf of myself, my partner, 8 year old son and 7 year old daughter plus our dog.”

She couldn't have picked a better caravan for us, we were close to a caravan that some other family members were staying in and the toys for the children were the icing on the cake, especially for our daughter. The caravan was roomy and so comfortable with a view over the sea. Communication with us throwing questions was second to none. “We had an absolutely fantastic stay, we only stayed for two nights but wished it was longer.”

The owners have thought of everything you could possibly need with young children, everything was there that you would ever need - toys, games, DVDs, buckets and spades. The caravan was spotlessly clean and the site was fantastic for the children and also the dog - the enclosed dog exercise area and the dog friendly beach were brilliant. The swimming pool was great as well. We will definitely be booking again, but for a longer stay next time.

Can't recommend this place enough. Felt like a home from home and all correspondence with the owner was really helpful answering our questions. Lots of little touches that made it extra special. Was a birthday treat for my wife and we went away with another family. 4 adults and 4 under 7 but plenty of room and the kids loved the fact there were games and dvds already there. “Was struggling to find somewhere to stay after the passing of my dear mum and needing to have some time away, then I found this site and destination with the perfect caravan.”

Having made the booking I realised within minutes that I actually couldn't make those dates I requested, my head really wasn't with it. After contacting Les he couldn't of been more helpful, he sorted the refund and reserved another week for me. I offered to pay for that week as well but he said No, wait until you receive the refund, very trusting and I was very grateful. On arriving the caravan was very inviting and homely, with Tea Coffee suger wine couple of bottles of beer milk plus other little extras, those little personal touches go along way, caravan positioned just right with a sea view. If I'm ever down this way again I wouldn't hesitate to book this caravan again.

“We have just got back from a week at Blue Anchor, staying in Jackie's caravan.”

We had a great time. The caravan has everything you need. Essential like tea and coffee had been left for us. The van is well equipped and was spacious enough for a family of 4, with 2 teenage children. The position on the site is brilliant, just set back from the sea front with a view of the sea. The outside terrace was lovely with table and chairs to sit out when the weather is good. Thanks Jackie, we shall hopefully be back!

“We absolutely LOVED our time at Blue Anchor.”

The caravan was fab; clean and tidy with some lovely welcoming touches and goodies. The owner could not have done enough to help. We had a few varying difficulties and they were always available and willing to help; thank you! Lovely view out to the ocean and everything you need to make it a lovely stay. I'd recommend thinking about booking swimming before hand (if this is something you want to do) as current restrictions make it a little more difficult to organise; but doable! Minehead beach was fab and much quieter than we were expecting. Dunster beach is also a must! We enjoyed most afternoons on Blue Harbour beach once the sea had gone out, but mainly played by the fresh water stream coming onto the beach as the beach itself is quite muddy.

“We arrived to find a well fitted, clean, comfortable mobile home.”

The only minor problem was a missing curtain in the living room. All items for our little one were there and they were in good order. The site is excellent and just a short walk to the beach and promenade The owner was also very responsive to emails when we had to amend our details. Overall we were extremely pleased with our booking and would recommend this mobile home to others.

“Great stay, we did not get the email with the details of how to access the caravan but that was fine as we got to meet Les, lovely man and sorted out urf bed linen and towels, due to covid we should have brought our own but Les was great and provided us everything we needed, the caravan was lovely and clean, great view to the beach and the weather was wet so it was exciting seeing the sea coming over the wall in the warm and cosy caravan.”

We took our 2 little Jack Russells's they loved the beach and such a dog friendly area.

“Fantastic caravan.”

Although dog friendly, it was beautifully clean and had no lingering doggie smell. There was everything you could need, including toilet rolls and coffee/teabags which was a nice touch. The owners were very friendly and helpful, especially when we left our coats and had to ask if they would post them back to us! Highly recommended and we would look to stay here again in the future.

This lovely caravan with decking is situated in the tranquil village of Blue Anchor, with sea views beautiful surrounding countryside, bed linen, and towels provided all that’s left for you to do is pack your bags and enjoy your holiday/break. Whether you are looking for a night away or a full-blown holiday were here to ensure you enjoy every minute of your stay.

On your arrival, you will be provided with clean bed linen and towels, a welcome pack consisting of tea and coffee so you can dump your bags and enjoy a cuppa before unpacking, and read through our brochure which will give you a few ideas of places to visit. If it’s sea fishing you like then you won’t be disappointed as Blue Anchor is very popular with anglers trying their luck off the sea wall, or maybe you’d like to venture further out into the channel in which case just over three miles east is the historic town of Watchet with its shops, two museums, Steam train station and of course a selection of fishing vessels to take you out for the day. Just 9 miles West of Blue Anchor is the town of Minehead The Gateway To Exmoor.

It’s also home to The West Somerset Railway a popular visitor attraction with regular steam trains running, and of course Butlins where your able to purchase a day pass to take the children to the fair ground, take in a show along with many more wonderful things for you to enjoy. If it’s peace and quite your looking for then Exmoor offers you everything with stunning scenery and lovely villages along its route such as Dunster with it’s castle, parts of which date back to the 13th century, The beautiful village of Selworthy famous for it’s thatched cottage tea rooms, and the gorgeous Porlock Weir where you can enjoy a meal with a drink at the local pub or just buy an ice cream whilst relaxing by the sea. So whether it’s walking, fishing or generally relaxing, with plenty of places to visit, we're here to help make your holiday one you will always cherish. We ask only that you leave the caravan as you find it clean and tidy, this helps us to keep the prices down to ensure you get value for money. MINEHEAD

Taunton 24 miles; Bridgwater 27 miles.

The popular seaside resort of Minehead occupies a wonderful sheltered spot beneath the dramatic North Hill, on the lovely West Somerset Coast. This welcoming town boasts a mile long esplanade, providing a wonderful backdrop to the golden beach, whilst the pretty harbour, visited in the summer by the famous paddle steamer Waverley, offers excellent fishing opportunities. Enjoy a nostalgic steam train journey from the seafront on the West Somerset Railway, or visit Blenheim Gardens, winner of many awards for its beautiful floral displays. Renowned for the largest herd of red deer in England, Exmoor National Park with its wooded valleys, pretty bridlepaths and heather clad moors, is well worth a visit, whilst the magnificent Norman Castle at nearby Dunster is a must.
