Our 2016 Abi Elan caravan has country views of the Quantocks, the double room has an ensuite toilet.
Plus two addition bedrooms with small singles (that can be pushed together) and a shower room with toilet and sink.
Outside there is wrap around decking, which is a lovely place to sit and watch the occasional Steam train pass by.
The gate is lockable to keep pets and children safe and we have a private parking space next to our caravan.
FREE PRIVATE Wi-Fi
Bedlinen is included together with a welcome pack that includes tea, coffee, milk and biscuits together with cleaning and washing up products, so you can travel lightly.
Food shopping deliveries by leading Supermarkets are also available directly to the caravan.
We offer stays from 3 nights upwards, However, during the main summer holidays we mostly offer a minimum of 7 nights.
House trained, well behaved dogs (maximum 2) are welcome.
Please keep the sofa cover (blanket) on and do not allow your dogs on the beds (as other guests might have allergies) .
Sorry but the park does not permit pets listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act and requires dogs to be kept on a lead on site.
For young children we can provide a bed guard, Ikea high chair and a travel cot (no bedding supplied).
We have some plastic crockery for dining and a selection of beach toys that you are very welcome to borrow.
Hoburne Blue Anchor is in a quiet, tranquil location nestled between the harbour town of Watchet and the beach resorts of Dunster and Minehead.
The holiday park is directly opposite a long sand and pebble beach, which is dog friendly all year.
The site benefits from an indoor pool, steam room, sauna, and Gym.
During term time you can pay when you get here(see photo for details) by the day from £3.50.
However , in school holidays passes must be purchased in advance at a cost of £55 for up to 6 people for the week or £25 for 1 night for upto 6 guests (chargeable by the site and costs subject to change).
There is free Wifi available all over the site.
There is also two children’s play parks, a launderette, a very basic shop at Reception and electric car charging points.
The Bay café serves a selection of drinks and food and has a live act/ singer on Wednesdays and Saturdays in high season.
There is no club house but there is the lovely Driftwood Café and the Smugglers Inn Pub a short walk away.
We have been visiting the area for many years and some of our favourite things to do are as follows:-
• Walk the South West Coastal path to Minehead, have a wander around and catch the Steam Train back to Blue Anchor.
• Go to Watchet, do some crabbing from the harbour wall, have a fish and chips and look at the boats and visit the small Museum (Free entry)
• Visit the National property, Dunster Castle and then explore the village
• Walk from Blue Anchor beach to Dunster beach and enjoy an Ice scream from the kiosk and use the free toilets
• Visit Porlock Village and do the circular walk followed by a cream tea.
• Go bird watching at WWT Steart Marshes (Free and dogs allowed)
• Go canoeing at Wimbleball Lake with the dog !
In our visitors book there are a range of ideas of places to visit and things to do.
We look forward to welcoming you to the ‘Sanderlings’
