“Having been let down on the standard of accommodation a couple of times before with booking through UKCaravans4hire, we were slightly apprehensive, but as this caravan was on a park we had stayed at many times before and we knew the area, we made the booking.”
Our minds were quickly put to rest as Kelly got in touch to confirm our booking and her attentive, warm and friendly personality was immediately apparent.
The Unit was well presented, clean, tidy and equipped with everything you may need for your time away, even a doggie treat jar and blankets provided. Given the booking permits dogs, there was no evidence of this in terms of cleanliness, smell etc. The Unit is well cared for. It suited our party of 2 middle aged numpties, elderly mother and a small mischievous Jack Russell, who of course was in charge throughout our stay.
A great location on the Site, which is kept very neat and tidy. We sat outside eating our breakfasts, dinners etc watching and waving (or barking) to the steam train as it chuffs past immediately behind the caravan.
The beds were comfortable, with duvets & pillows clean and new looking. You take your own sheets etc. Stayed during May and never felt cold throughout the night. Toaster, kettle, oven all in good clean working order.
Actually, lets make this easy and sum it up - What's not to like. We had a great stay, would not hesitate to recommend and would definitely stay again. Kelly is a top host, extremely attentive and its obvious she is concerned she wants her visitors to enjoy their stay. We did, without question and thank her very much.
No grumbles, nothing to complain about. If you're familiar with caravan stays, then its a good one, if you've never stayed in one before, give it a go.
Regarding the Site, there are no shops for provisions, there is a cafe, small playground for children and an indoor pool. None of which we used. Touring Campers on the far side of the park. Blue Anchor village does have a pub & cafe, but with Minehead is just a couple of minutes drive away and you will find Tesco, Lidl, Morrisons to name a few. Lovely neighbouring villages to explore, stunning views and a walk along the beach to Dunster beach for a morning coffee and a chase of the seagulls is relaxing.
The only grumble we have - we had to leave. So hope to return in the future. Kelly, many thanks.
