Minehead, Taunton and Bridgewater are within 15 miles, and Dunster Castle, Butlins and the Steam Train are close by.
The Haven facilities are excellent, some being an extra cost, shop, café, restaurant, bar and a chippie for enjoyment or giving the cook a holiday.
Walk by the beach to Watchet for a pub lunch; your dog will love it.
Wookey Hole and Cheddar Gorge are easy to drive too, or Exmoor for the ponies, walks and views.
