“Had a great week ay Gwarallt Bungalow caravan, a top place to explore the wider area.”
Janet and Alan were great hosts, with loads of tips for the area, and Meg the dog loves a bit of fuss. Although the caravan is an older model, but don't let that put you off, it has a nicer layout than many modern vans, and was spotlessly clean. On arrival, all the things you could need were there including towels and bedding. Caravan is on a smallholding in it's own beautiful garden, with marvellous views over the local hills and valleys. Red Kites soar overhead most days, and it's just a relaxing place to chill. Loads of great places to visit nearby. Top nearby beaches include Penbryn, Llangranog, Mwnt and a little further, Pendine, all with coastal walks and many with caves or rockpools. Walk from Penbryn to Llangrannog on coast path is beautiful, if a little strenuous (prob not for under 10's esp. on hot days). Dolacouthi Roman Gold Mine is a must, though again prob not fer small kiddies, though dogs are allowed on the tour (you must book ahead, places on tours are limited). NT house Llanerchaeron is deffo worth a visit and is very close by (look out for Thomas the tabby cat in the garden...loves a bit of fuss) . Aberaeron is a few miles up the coast and is a bit of a foodie hot spot with a lovely harbour. Aberystwyth is great for a mooch, and restaurant Medina does cheap lunch deals before 4pm (good food too). On the whole, we had a top time. Loads of nearby places of interest, and the caravan is comfortable and in a great spot. Hope to visit again maybe next year.
