    “Absolutely faultless!”

From the moment of booking and receiving a welcome email, to getting to meet the lovely David in person when we came to leave, we absolutely could not fault our stay. The caravan was immaculately clean, we’ve stayed in caravans around the UK every year since I was a child and this one was without a doubt the cleanest I’ve seen. Not just on the surface either, when my son lost a car under the sofa I had to move it to retrieve it and even in unseen areas such as this the cleanliness was spot on. It even smelled amazing as soon as we opened the door! The caravan is just a few metres from the shop and a short walk to the main entertainment complex, I was worried this may mean it was noisy but it wasn’t at all. It was also well equipped, things such as a hairdryer, a variety of saucepans, a cheese grater and more than one oven tray are things that are often absent in caravans but not this one! I’ve already recommended it to friends and family and will continue to do so, if we come back to Hopton next year this caravan will be my first choice. Thank you David!

The property

A lovely smoke-free and pet-free caravan situated in the Conifer Court area of Haven Hopton-on-Sea Holiday Village looking over trees and a feature pond with water feature (railed for children's safety).

It has a large plot with a patio and parking space.

This part of the Park is a cul-de-sac with only a small number of caravans beyond this one so there is little passing traffic making it a safe area for playing outside. Less than a 5 minute walk from the shop, the entertainment complex and under 10 minutes to the sea.

There is a ramp down to the beach area from the site.

In walking distance of the site there is a good pub, McColls with Post Office, pharmacy, chip shop, and amusement arcades. Hopton-on-Sea is well situated between Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft, Pleasurewood Hills Family Theme Park is a few miles away towards Lowestoft, with a direct bus service from Hopton.

Toby Carvery, Harvester and Beefeater are a mere 1.5 miles away and there are two large Tesco stores within a few miles. Public transport to Hopton is excellent - with direct bus services to Norwich x1 and x11 (and beyond to Peterborough), Lowestoft and Southwold.

Both Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth have mainline railway stations.

You really could leave the car at home! The caravan has a modern feel and is light and airy.

It benefits from gas central heating in every room and an electric fire in the lounge.

Double glazing.

There is an integrated sound system to connect phones to and an integrated radio in the lounge.

The kitchen is fully equipped with enough matching plates and cutlery to adequately cater for 6 occupants.

plus a dishwasher so nobody has to do the dishes!

There is a shower room with a lit oversized shower, with WC and a separate WC for the main bedroom. Linen is included in the price and beds will be made ready for your arrival.* subject to covid restrictions The complex requires entertainment passes (prices available on request). The entertainment complex has a lovely restaurant, a warm heated indoor pool and seasonal outdoor pool.

About the location

No village

Chatsworth 1 mile; Bakewell 5 miles.

The pretty village of Baslow lies at the north end of stately Chatsworth House - home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. The village has many unusual and picturesque features including a triple-arched river bridge guarded by a toll house whose doorway is only 3 1/2 feet high! Baslow offers a range of village amenities including shops, pubs and restaurants. Close by is Bakewell, the capital of the Peak District, and home of the famous Bakewell pudding (definitely not tart!), still made locally to an old and secret recipe. Bakewell is at the scenic heart of the Peak District, and with Alton Towers also within easy touring distance, there is plenty for the whole family to enjoy.
