“Very disappointing stay and all down to the cleanliness of the property.”

Gate not closing, I managed to get it back together but does need a better fix. Outside terrace table with dirty ashtray and glass marks all over it, BBQ greasy on outside and a lot of build up of food on the inside, didn't look as if it had been cleaned in months, Jacuzzi cover extremely dirty needs a good scrub, and Parasol stand stand broken, so 1st impression not good. Stale smell of smoke on entering property, opened all windows and door to air the place. Didn't cook in the property as oven ...

Didn't cook in the property as oven needed cleaning, the air fryer was also dirty. I cleaned the outside but no way was I cleaning the BBQ or air fryer. Toaster was fine. Had to clean inside table as there were a couple of glass marks. There is a large stain on the mattress in the double, there is no mattress protector. Therefore, did not spend long in the Caravan and would not return. Happy to supply photos. Did speak to a staff member who asked us if everything was ok and actually his response when I mentioned the cleanliness was I cannot comment!

Hi John, Thanks for taking the time to leave your review, and for your impressive eye for forensic-level detail. It’s clear you approached your stay with the enthusiasm of a health inspector on a mission, and while that level of scrutiny isn’t typical from our guests, we appreciate the feedback all the same. We’re genuinely sorry that the standard of cleanliness didn’t meet your expectations — or, evidently, your standards for a deep-clean before even setting down your bags. We do rely on our housekeeping team to maintain high standards, and while the occasional oversight can happen, your experience sounds more like a checklist from a training manual on “what not to do.” Rest assured, this is being followed up with the cleaning team. As for the barbecue, air fryer, and jacuzzi cover — it seems like they all managed to miss their spa day, and we’ll be making sure they get the attention they clearly need. We also appreciate the DIY effort with the gate — next time, we’ll leave a toolkit and hard hat just in case! The comment about the mattress is noted and a mattress protector will be fitted (although we’d argue most guests don’t inspect beds with a UV light). We’re sorry this stay didn’t work out for you and that the property wasn’t to your taste. Cleanliness is a priority for us, and your review has certainly given us plenty to review with the team. If you do decide to give us another chance, we’d love the opportunity to show you the standard we’re usually known for — no ashtrays or stain-spotting required. Additionally, in future, it may be worth contacting one of us owners on any of the provided numbers (in the caravan) to make us aware of any of your problems before deciding to just ride it out - "yeeee hah" for the duration of your stay ? That way we could have ensured that your holiday was the best ever possible for you and not the health inspection that you've made it seem... Forever grateful, Scott T 25, Kingfisher Court Property Owner
