Very well looked after caravan snd park. Caravan in the best part of the park aswell. Loved the tassimo machine. Beach 2 minutes away. Some great pubs nearby. Stunning coastline.

“Comfortable and a home from home.”

Fully equipped, clean and both us and our dog was made very welcome. Good position with easy access to beach, park amenities and within a 10 minute walk of the village and 15-20 minutes of the main railway line to Penzance.

“Just returned back from a week trip with my daughters and our dogs and had the best time.”

I was so impressed with sandy paws in every aspect. It’s on such a nice quiet location on the park over looking a lovely water feature and a little stream water feature running along the front. It is extremely spacious with everything you could think of inside. The washing machine and dishwasher really did make such a difference for me with 5 children to clean up after.I was so shocked actually at how spacious it was compared to other vans! The full size bath was amazing ! My children who range from age 8-15 said they really Would love to come back to stay in stubs can again so I think that says it all. Thanks so much

“Booking process simple with all information needed, given before travel.”

The lodge is spacious, was exceptionally clean and has all the comforts of home. We were a party of adults so the full size single beds were a bonus. It is handy for the beach and is within walking distance of shops for essentials. Located in an area with plenty to do and see locally, and for venturing further afield to explore Cornwall.

“We’ve had a lovely week staying at this lodge so much so we’ve extended our trip for an extra 3 nights, Well equipped lodge excellent kitchen facilities with everything you need for a perfect break, Lovely welcoming with Milk and juice on arrival perfect after a long journey to make a cuppa.”

Plenty of space for a family plus dog with treats . Comfy beds with plenty storage excellent bathroom facilities, The lodge is in a lovely town close to the beach with local amenities not to far away and located in a lovely peaceful part of the park, I found the owner lovely to deal with and really Friendly and will definitely book again in the future as this lodge is perfect.

“There is no doubt that this is a nice lodge.”

It is spacious and in a nice area of Par Sands. It is generally clean and well equipped. The taps in the kitchen need replacing, and the drains in the bathrooms need flushing with caustic soda as water drainage was slow. A couple of marks on the carpet but commensurate with a long season. All in all no problem. However there were no instructions for the TV. Despite our best efforts over a large part of Sunday we emailed and then phoned the owners and had two conversations with them during which they admitted their daughter had had difficulty with the TV as well. Out of desperation we called in a TV engineer from Blazey who fixed it for us and supplied us with instructions for turning it on and setting up the Hiflux satellite box. It cost us £65 which we asked the owners to reimburse due to lack if TV instructions. They refused. We are disappointed. The satellite box was a new addition to the lodge but came with no instructions which is neglectful in my view. The lodge was expensive and we did not anticipate this amount of problems when you pay so much. There are just as nice lodges going at Par Sands far cheaper so we cannot recommend this lodge as I am sure the other lodges will be considerate enough to include all instructions with it. Especially for the TV when the Hiflux satellite box needs switching on every time you use it as explained by the TV engineer. Although they live only 30 minutes away no one said they would pop over and sort it out for us. If the £65 TV engineer fee had been reimbursed we would have considered hiring it again but we are £65 out of pocket.

“We had the best week away in this gorgeous lodge!”

So peaceful and quiet, perfect to unwind and relax! The lodge was beautiful, modern and spacious. Very well equipped and spotlessly clean! Short walk to the beach, beach cafe and local pub. So impressed and surprised to have a full size deep bath perfect for a bubble bath at the end of the day! The perfect base to explore the local area. We will definitely be returning and recommending to our friends! Thank you Penny and Sarah ,the perfect hosts!

“Had a great time at Sandy Paws!”

Best equipped accommodation we have stayed in. Very spacious and comfortable. Welcome treats were a lovely thought (biscuits, tea, coffee and milk even sweets for the children!) Took our black laborador with us who enjoyed lots of walks on Par beach. The location is excellent too and we found lots of dog friendly towns and harbours to visit while we were there. “A brilliant Holiday I've been back from my holiday now for about 5 or 6 weeks and kept forgetting to write this review, which I am hugely embarrassed about.”

There were two of us on our holiday, me and my 85 year old mother. It rained for the majority of our time there and we only got to wear our shorts on two days. Despite this, we had an absolutely brilliant holiday. The lodge was absolutely fantastic, so well equipped with thought given to our dogs requirements and any small children, brilliantly positioned (opposite a very pretty lake), incredibly spacious and immaculately clean. It was home from home with everything we needed to unwind and relax. Our host Penny was superb. Communications were great before, during and after our holiday. When we left, we had left some of Mum's kitchen utensils and Penny very kindly posted them on to us. I would recommend this Lodge and this campsite without hesitation, it was utterly charming.

“We have just returned home from a week staying at Par Sands.”

We have had a fabulous week; the weather has been ???????? all week and we could not fault the accommodation ! The well equipped caravan is in a superb location with 2 outdoor seating areas both private and quiet. It has been a good base for sightseeing and the bonus is there is a pub and bar within walking distance to the caravan. We can’t thank Penny enough for her kindness and professionalism when booking.

“Amazing caravan.”

Couldn’t ask for a better location with small children. The beach was a quick 2 minute walk. The caravan itself was immaculate and plenty of room for everyone without feeling cramped. As for the on-site facilities the parks were perfect for younger ones and my children had a lovely time in the swimming pool I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The property

You will be booking with the owners of Sandy Paws a family run lodge which is maintained and cleaned to a high standard We look forward to seeing our old and new guests We welcome you on arrival with a tray of all things Cornish with milk and squash in the fridge. The lounge in the lodge is above average size with 1 double sofa and 2 reclining chairs.

Which opens up onto the improved and much more spacious front decking overlooking landscape gardens and water feature. There is a well-equipped modern kitchen boasting a double oven and fitted microwave with a fridge, freezer, and dishwasher, giving you the feeling of a home away from home. There is central heating with radiators, heated towel rails alongside a washer dryer. The lodge has a master bedroom with en-suite with good size wardrobe space and a very comfortable double bed. The twin room has 2 full size single beds with a walk in wardrobe just across from the bathroom with a full size bath ideal for a lovely deep soak and a shower All bedlinen and towels are provided and beds made up including linen for the bed settee There are cool boxes and picnic crockery available but we do not provide pool or beach towels. There is a large storage box at the rear of the lodge to place all sandy beach equipment. For our canine guests we provide towels and blankets and bowels and treats in their own Sandy Paws box.

We would also appreciate dogs not being left in the lodge on their own and please keep them off the furniture and beds. For our smaller guests we have 2 toy boxes and plenty of DVDs for all ages.

PLUS WE HAVE WIFI, Pool passes are available but please leave them in the lodge when you leave for our next guests to use. Outside, we have 2 private seating areas, 1with a view from the lounge and also a private area for you to relax after a busy day. Our lodge is set in the peaceful part of the park with its own parking.

Fowey 5 miles; Charlestown 2 miles; St. Austell 3 miles.

Par village is located on the South Cornwall coast offering a sandy family and dog-friendly beach (dogs allowed all year round) on St. Austell Bay. The village is only 2.5 miles away from the internationally renowned Eden Project, which can be reached on foot through the leafy green Luxulyan Valley. Between Par and the picturesque harbour of Fowey, is the Gribbin Peninsula, which has magnificent views of the surrounding coastline and makes for an excellent walk. Close to Par are many places connected to the author Daphne du Maurier, including the small cove at Polkerris which boasts the Rashleigh Arms and which takes its name from a local landowner whose house was frequented by the author. There are many attractions in the area including the China Clay Country Park and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. A fabulous location to explore the rich heritage and magnificent coastline of South Cornwall.
