“Had a fantastic week in challaborough , the location is remote so not good for people that done like single track roads but it's worth the journey.”

The caravan was clean and comfortable for me my partner and my dog . The views were beautiful even on a bleak day and the walk to the Pilchard Inn for dinner was great and so was the food , definitely worth a visit even just to have a beer and was the surfers , sadly I'm too old but a beautiful part of Devon.

“Stayed at Chally so many times, this caravan was great for families with dogs due to the enclosed garden.”

But for humans it was spacious had everything you needed. The view was amazing, the outside space great, came with parents with mobility problems who were more than happy to sit and watch the world go by! Must admit so much fitter after walking up and down the hill. Very quiet, totally peaceful and relaxing. Down side….. yes sticky chairs but we cleaned and cleaned it did get better, anything missing pots for tea, coffee and sugar, salt and pepper pots ( cleaners nightmares I guess) maybe? Otherwise will be booking again! Only wish I had known it was vacant after we left we would have stayed till Sunday ????

“Pros; Great views of the bay from the veranda.”

Excellent shower. Comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen. Outside garden space handy and secure for our dog. Quiet position on the park. Cons; Garden messy and in need of attention. Veranda steps green with algea. Veranda chairs, one broken, two wobbly, one ok. (Not same as website pictures) Lock on veranda doors difficult to lock. Sticky dining table and chairs surfaces. We had no TV for 5 days out of 7( no signal ) and no information about this until Saturday afternoon as we were travelling to the caravan. (Satellite dish fitted Thursday ) Raised this problem with the owners who didn't see fit to compensate us. Disappointed.

The caravan was very comfortable and had everything that we needed, we loved it so much that we booked up for next year while we were still there. Communication with Tracey was excellent. I was quite sad when we had to leave and can't wait for next year.

“I went to this site following a recommendation from a friend.”

I was not disappointed! The view from the caravan was beautiful and the facilities were spot on. The caravan was well equipped and clean. I would definitely come back although later in the season so my dog can go on the site beach. There are dog friendly beaches nearby though. Communication with owners was excellent and there were some lively personal touches in the caravan. Thank you for an enjo6able stay.

“First impressions on arrival it did look a bit shabby but as we drove up to where our caravan was they looked better.”

It was clean but could do with some attention some windows wouldn't shut or open the patio doors didn't lock alot of items eg table,chairs,door handles felt sticky the view was gorgeous. Unfortunately the tele didn't work all week which was fine in the day but would of been nice for the evening... the surroundings are lovely but we wouldn't return to this site.

“Best views on the park and I mean stunning ?”

??? Really nice van on a great park. Have just returned from a week's stay and already wanting to go back. We took our little dog who loved the nice bit of enclosed garden to the side of the van. Communication with owner was fantastic. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely be using again. The area of the park is quiet but has everything you need and some great little pubs only a small walk away. Thank you so much for the holiday ????

“We thoroughly enjoyed are fantastic and very relaxed holiday in Tracey and Terry's Caravan at Challaborough Bay Holiday Park.”

The best comment I can make about the Caravan was it was like a home from home for us and our two dogs who like us enjoyed the decking and the lovely little garden. The caravan is in a excellent position with fantastic sea views and also very quiet and private , The caravan is very well appointed with plenty of space and ample cupboard space and most important the bed was very comfortable which made the whole experience a joy. And last but not least Tracey and Terry are brilliant to deal with from start to finish which made are online booking process very easy . We enjoyed our holiday so much that we are seeing if we can book the caravan for my birthday week in October if available. Kind Regards Andrew and Jacquie Berry and our Furry Friends.

“This is the second time we have stayed at this caravan and it didn’t disappoint.”

Online booking is straightforward, Tracey is swift in communicating and providing all the information you need. The van is in an excellent position with a generous car parking space adjacent to it. It’s well equipped, clean and comfortable. The deck is lovely and the views spectacular. I’ll be booking again when next year’s dates are available - thank you for another lovely stay.

“We visited Challaborough for the first time in 2021, and liked the area so much that we booked for Easter 2022.”

I found this caravan via UKCaravans4hire and booked it as the van looked great - and knowing the layout of the park I thought the plot was ideal. Tracey was great at communicating with me - we got details not only of the van but also some local places to eat, of which we tried several! The caravan itself is well equipped, clean, tidy and comfortable. The deck and little garden are lovely and you get the sun all day. There is a good sized parking space right at the end of the caravan, and the location is quiet with very little through traffic. We had a lovely family holiday in the caravan and liked it so much that we have booked again for next year. I would have no hesitation in recommending this caravan for a holiday - thank you to Tracey and Terry for letting us stay.

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay as a family of four (2 adults, 1 small child and our dog).”

The lounge/kitchen area was surprisingly bigger than we anticipated which was a welcome surprise. The accommodation was kept very clean and tidy and we had all the essential utensils needed. The shower was also bigger than expected, pictures don’t do your place justice it’s great value for money.

“We had a brilliant time at Challaborough.”

The caravan is in a great spot with great views of the sea. The decking is really spacious and it was great to have a bit of space at the back of the caravan. It has a homely feel with side lamps and plenty of hooks to hang things from. We had a lovely meal at the Journeys End in a beautiful local village called Ringmore. There are plenty of lovely local walks were you can find secluded beaches, but if you want to be in the hustle and bustle of it all, Bigbury-on-Sea and Burgh Island is a short walk away. Tracey is great at getting back to you. Thank you for a lovely stay.

“Having just come back from a few days away in this caravan I already wish I was back there!”

Such a stunning location. The caravan is situated fairly near the top of the park so you have a great view of the sea and Burgh Island. 2 minute walk down to the beach, 10-15 minute walk around to Bigbury on Sea and minutes away from the coastal path in either direction. Great to have a veranda and enclosed area for the dog to trot around in when he wanted to be outside. Caravan itself was well maintained and delivered everything we needed. Only slight issue we had was trying to get the TV working, think the lead was a bit dodgy but we weren't inside much so it wasn't a problem. Tracey quickly sorted out and issues we had, was very speedy replying to enquiries before we stayed. We will definitely be coming back!

“We have just spent a wonderful weekend in this caravan.”

Having been owners on the site for many years previously we wanted to revisit the site. This caravan did not dissapoint. It was lovely and clean and had everything we required for our stay. The elevated position on site provided us with some really stunning sunrises and sunsets. Due to covid the facilities were very limited; that didnt affect us at all. We had wonderful weather and spent most of our time out walking/ on the beach. The shop on site was open and had everything you could need. The communication from Tracey and Terry was excellent from start to finish- I will definitely be returning

The property

Our 6 berth, 2 bedroom caravan enjoys some of the best sea views on the park, yet is only a 3-4 minute walk to the swimming pool and children's playground and only a 5 minute walk to the main clubhouse and beach. The caravan consists of a lounge with superb sea views and has 2 sofas, one of which converts into a double sofa-bed, the lounge leads out onto a decking area which has stunning sea views of the bay and on to Burgh Island - an island that can be accessed at low tide on foot or at certain times during high tide using the Sea Tractor.

Our decking area has table and chairs, lovely for a morning cuppa, all day sunbathing or an evening BBQ! The caravan also has a dining area, a kitchen with full oven and microwave, a twin bedroom and a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Behind the decking area is a small garden area which is enclosed so therefore safe for dogs. Dedicated parking space for one car behind the caravan. The road that the caravan is situated on only has 4 caravans on it, so therefore is quiet and safe. Entertainment passes are available on arrival at reception from £10 pp under 5s are free (depending on season, please enquire with reception) Please Note - Bookings can only be from Fri-Mon, Mon-Fri or Sat-Sat only.

KINGSBRIDGE

Salcombe 5 miles; Bantham 5 miles; Dartmouth 12 miles; Totnes 13 miles; Plymouth 20 miles.

The busy little town of Kingsbridge lies at the head of a marine estuary in the attractive South Hams area of South Devon. Kingsbridge is home to a range of lovely independent shops and coffee shops, as well as a 3-screen cinema and an award-winning pub. During the summer season there are estuary excursions by ferry to Salcombe which lies on the banks of the Kingsbridge Estuary, making it one of the prettiest towns in South Devon. Salcombe is famous for its outstanding coastal views, rolling countryside, and is a watersports paradise for kayaking, surfing, paddle boarding and powerboating. It is packed with boutique shops, high street brands and independent producers, restaurants serving freshly caught seafood, and Salcombe Gin and Ice cream! Kingsbridge is perfectly located as a base to enjoy the abundant wildlife in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), which also forms part of the South Devon Heritage Coast. Visitors can take a walk along the Kingsbridge Quay, wander through the narrow alleys off Fore Street or visit the Shambles in Totnes, an Elizabethan market arcade. Around the South Hams area there are picturesque ports, such as Dartmouth and Salcombe, together with sandy beaches at Blackpool Sands near Stoke Fleming and the two sandy beaches at Thurlestone. There are a host of small attractive villages in South Hams offering interesting pubs, local farm produce shops and pretty rows of cottages, plus further afield the waterfront city of Plymouth is a vibrant centre, housing the National Marine Aquarium, historic Barbican Quay and plenty of night life, including theatres, restaurants and bars. Kingsbridge can be easily reached by train to Totnes and then a local bus service which will take you to Kingsbridge town centre.
