“Had a relaxing weekend at the durdle door park at Kathy's caravan.”

The accomodation was very clean and comfortable. The caravan is facing a big grassy area where kids could play while you watch them. The wifi at the caravan is great as well. Its a 10 minute walk to the Durdle door & the cliff walks to Lulworth cove was really amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone.

    A message from the owner:

"This has been our family's favourite holiday destination for over 40 years, and, until now, we've always rented caravans privately from other owners several times a year

Now, finally, we've bought our own caravan and are excited to share it with you now that we've kitted it out! We know what makes a caravan relaxing and comfortable for a family holiday, and hope you enjoy our caravan as much as we do."

Durdle Door Holiday Park - Accommodation 8299 is a contemporary caravan nestled in Wareham, Dorset.

Set within Dorset National escape this single-storey abode is just a short stroll to the beach, boasting proximity to local amenities, an open-plan layout and private decking that set the scene for unhurried days and sunset evenings.

Arrival places you at the heart of the holiday park, set on a friendly cul-de-sac that curves around a generous central grassy area, just a few rows back from the sea-view caravans lining the park’s edge.

A newly opened children’s play area, Lulworth Castle Play Park, is around a one-minute walk away, adding to the sense of ease for families settling in.

Inside, the caravan is warmed throughout by central heating, creating a welcoming space to return to after days spent exploring the coastline.

Each bedroom has plenty of storage space for clothes, with built-in furniture and bedside tables, making it easy to unpack, unwind and feel at home from the moment you arrive.

Bed linen is provided for your stay, so all you need to bring are bath towels, food and yourselves.

There is a spacious living room with two sofas, a dining table and TV, flowing seamlessly into a fully equipped, contemporary kitchen, where preparing meals becomes part of the holiday rhythm, whether it’s a relaxed breakfast before heading out or a home-cooked supper after a day by the sea.

The open-plan layout allows everyone to gather together, sharing stories and plans for the next adventure.

Decking wraps around the front and side of the caravan, so you can open the sliding doors from the living room and step straight outside.

This space naturally becomes an extension of the living area, a place to pause with a drink as the sun begins to dip, or to keep an easy eye on children playing on the grassy area at the centre of the cul-de-sac.

There is also a gated decking area to the side of the caravan with a more private seating area for up to eight, ideal for lingering over alfresco meals and unhurried evenings outdoors, with the added reassurance of a secure, enclosed space for younger guests.

About the location

WAREHAM

Corfe Castle 5 miles; Poole 9 miles; Swanage 11 miles;

Wareham, affectionately known as the ‘Gateway to the Purbecks’ is an ancient Dorset waterside market town. Situated between the River Frome and quaintly named River Piddle, its charming riverside location makes the town a popular holiday destination. Dating back to Saxon times, the town was once surrounded by walls, and became an important port with boats bringing supplies up the River Frome from nearby Poole harbour. Today, the river provides a great playground, you can hire a boat from the attractive quayside and chug your way down the stream, take one of the regular organised boat trips, browse the colourful Saturday market or simply just enjoy an ice cream or a drink relaxing on the Quayside. Whilst seasonally there are also numerous popular events taking place beside the river. A short drive takes you to the Arne peninsula jutting out into Poole Harbour, a designated RSPB reserve, where you can stroll down to the water’s edge, taking in glimpses of the impressive bird population and often viewing some of the resident deer. The friendly seaside resort of Swanage is also easily accessible, where you can experience a traditional family-friendly day out on the beach, or take the coastal path and stop off for refreshment at Durlston Country Park. A real treat is to drive to nearby Corfe Castle and take the vintage steam railway to Swanage. Wareham offers visitors a super Dorset holiday destination at anytime of the year.
